My dad is awesome. I didn't fully realize it until I was grown up and he wasn't always around to fix things for me. This morning, he actually gave me a gift instead of the other way around. Things are very rough right now and, once again, he helped me out as he's done all my life. I am going to write him a note right now. I've told him how much I appreciate him, but I don't think I can say it enough. I love my dad so much. I can't imagine life without him. I only hope that someday I can pay him back.

Palmer, that was a wonderful post. There were times when my Dad was the LAST person I wanted to be around. Why is when we're teens we think we know everything and what is right for us?
Now I cherish every visit with him.
