I trade Ludwick and Volstad to the Romanian Yankees for Webb and Nady.
I had solid hitting and wanted to take a small gamble on Webb.

Simply terrible. The difference between Ludwick and Nady in no way makes up for the difference in Webb and Volstad.

Another trade I'm really pleased with. I got an OF I really wanted - Ludwick - and a good enough pitcher - Volstad, giving up an ace that has some medical issues - Webb - and an OF that won't be a regular starter anymore - Nady. Good deal imo.
One more trade wanted and I'm done for now

Well, this doesn't look quite as bad now that Nady is out for the year. However, since BOSS was able to replace him with Swisher immediately after the deal, it actually might be worse.

I had no idea Swish was a free agent. I would've picked him up immediately. But the trade, after Nady's injury, is actually Webb for Ludwick and Volstad, which is a great deal for me. Ludwick rocks, Volstad will have a breakout year, and Webb won't be as good as last year
