Going into the tournament here's what I was hoping would happen:
-Washington would advance to at least the Sweet 16 (negative)
-UCONN, Duke and UNC would lose early (negative)
-Wake Forest would do well (negative)
-There would be at least a few Cinderella's (negative)
-One of the 1 or 2 seeds would lose early (negative)
So, I have my reasons for not liking this year's Tourney (it doesn't mean I won't keep watching though).![]()
If you want excitement you can always watch the ladies tournament and the UCONN women steamroll over everyone. Now there's high drama.Originally Posted by YanksFan1992

Great great Tourney so far. Nice to see good games and the better teams winning.
If I had 3 wishes... One of my wishes would be to make a select few of you Pirates Fans.
We might have three Big East teams winning tonight.
Pitt and UConn already won. Will Villanova be the third?

Great job by Missouri so far, they're really holding their own against Memphis.
Villanova defense doing what you need to do to stop Duke. Stay tight on their 3-point shooters, dont collapse when guys like Scheyer drive into the lane and kick out.

Nova should be up by double digits right now....they've missed alot of wide open shots. But their defense is putting on a clinic right now.

19 point lead for Missouri!!!
I've gotta say, I thought this team was overrated heading into the tournament, but I was very wrong.
I didnt see this one coming at all. Marquette had them beat last round and let that game slip away.Originally Posted by YanksFan1992

Awesome! I can't stand Memphis.
Bad news: Duke is playing terribly and has no answer for Villanova's defense.
Good news: Duke is only down three.
Bad news: The refs are calling everything tonight. Way too many tick tack fouls against both teams.

I dont see them generating enough points with their offense. When Nova's locks down on the perimeter, Duke has nowhere else to go.

Nova's defense has been absolutely suffocating. Even I didnt think they would do this good of a job against Duke....I think I can count on one hand the number of open looks Duke has had in this game.Originally Posted by bcom33

I guess this is just going to be another one of those years where Duke doesn't recruit a REAL center, and it shows in the tournament.
