Wow, 3 #1's out of the Big East.
Good thing Memphis didn't get a #1 seed.
And no Billy Packer!![]()

Wow, Arizona made it, so six teams for the Pac-10.
And I've already got my 5/12 upset. Arizona over Utah is an easy pick in my opinion.
Holy sh*t we got a 7 seed!
Oh, a BonusCantos-CanoForPresident showdown.![]()
I love the reactions of the smaller schools...Such a David and Goliath type of feel.

Very true, I do like the Purdue matchup as well. But, I just think Mississippi State is very hot right now, and is probably as talented a 13 seed as you could find.Originally Posted by BroadwayBomber55

I'm a Siena grad, and for a small school it's a great achievement getting a No. 9 seed, but it's basically an away game for them and if they pull off the upset they'll have Louisville waiting for them. I was hoping for an 11 or 12 and a chance to get to the Sweet 16, but that ain't happening. Oh well...
Let the kids play.
I am very tempted to take Binghamton over Duke.![]()
Well, VCU and their full court press takes on UCLA.

Of all the bubble teams, you can make an argument for San Diego State and St. Mary's, but the Aztecs played their way out from the Mountain West.
Penn State, St. Mary's, Creighton, they had top 50 RPI numbers, but bad SOS.

The only team that I definitely don't think should have gotten in was Arizona, with Michigan being a close 2nd.
I disagree.Originally Posted by jeterdaman

I definetly think Siena is winning their first game. I follow the MAAC closely and I always see Siena at least once a year in person (when they play at Marist)...and this is by far the best team I've seen come out of the MAAC in years.Originally Posted by Bub

I'm not saying they will go farther then one win, but Louisville will have their hands full in that 2nd round game.

If Siena can, somehow, learn how to shoot free throws, they can make a good showing. Of course, beating Louisville would be a MAJOR upset but, they have the speed and ball handling to handle the press.Originally Posted by dabomb2045
Ohio State has a couple of 7 footers.....which doesn't always mean a whole lot, but it's a definate size advantage. I can't see them hanging in there long against Louisville, based on what I saw of them this weekend. Last year when Siena drew a 13 seed and faced Vanderbilt, we knew right away it was a team to be had. Not this year.Originally Posted by dabomb2045

Arizona making the tournament is a Grade-A joke.

That doesn't mean they shouldn't be in. If Oklahoma had a .500 record over the year, it doesn't mean they couldn't beat most teams, but that their resume isn't valid enough.Originally Posted by Yankee Fan in Boston
The committee shouldn't be looking at how talented the team is, or it's historical success (which I think was the reason why they got in this time), they should only be looking at their resume, unless something affects that resume such as an injury to a key player.
Yeah, I was just having fun with TY. AZ probably shouldn't be in, but I do think they have a very good chance to pull an upset in the first round.Originally Posted by YanksFan1992

Oh for sure, there's no question in my mind that Arizona will win that game.Originally Posted by Yankee Fan in Boston

D'oh! We're playing Duke... Well, at least we'll get great publicity![]()
Arizona's a very good team. However, their resume isn't up to snuff with a tournament team, so they shouldn't have made it in. That doesn't prevent them from being good enough to beat Utah.Originally Posted by dabomb2045
