I believe this is the pitch for FOX's next Man vs. Beast.

    Croc must focus.

Yet it would probably end up being a one-sided eating competition of sorts, so they'd probably have to have Michael Buffer announce it since he's Fox's Man vs. Beast resident expert on eating competitions.

I heard that Ruth will not be prosecuted for lack of evidence. I still believe she is guilty but it seems like she dodged the bullet.

    The Associated Press

NEW YORK - Disgraced financier Bernard Madoff's wife asked to stay in her $7 million Manhattan penthouse and wanted to take a fur coat with her before federal marshals seized the property.

A federal official informed of Ruth Madoff's departure from her apartment Thursday tells The Associated Press that when marshals said she couldn't take her coat, she left carrying just a straw bag.

Dude, that big-arsed freakin' croc could out-eat those peeps in Coney Island this Saturday for the 4th of July. In fact, the croc could eat Bernie Madoff, the 60 hot dobs (merely a warm-up, natcherly), the eating contest winner, AND Michael Buffer.

    Re: Madoff to plead guilty

The trustee overseeing the liquidation of Bernie Madoff's assets today sued the disgraced financier's wife -- asking for a staggering $44 million spent on a "life of splendor" at the expense of duped investors.

Picard detailed many of Ruth's expenses over the years, including spending $2.3 million of company funds on a yacht and $1.1 million with the firm's credit card to buy personal items.

Picard said he filed the lawsuit in an attempt to get compensatory and punitive damages for his clients.

A federal judge recently allowed Ruth Madoff to keep $2.5 million, which Picard is also trying to recover.

    Re: Madoff to plead guilty

Madoff had an jail interview with the attorney for the victims the other day and one of the things that he said was that his wife was not involved in any way but that he does not care what happens to his sons. She stuck by him so he is covering for her. His sons turned him in so he is turning his back on them. Way to go Bernie! (sarcasm)

It is all an act, he let his sons turn him in so that they would get light sentences. It was a family crime.

If that were true he would be covering for his sons too. He is pissed at them for some reason. According to what I read he was planning to turn himself in but wanted more time to hide assets or whatever. The sons decided to turn him in right after he told them the extent of what was going on. I do believe the wife was in on it. The sons, on the other hand, were too young when Madoff first started swindling, not to mention Madoff was not close to his kids and did not keep them in the loop about business.

Is Bernie Madoff really dying? Talk about getting off easy.

Bernie Madoff had little to lose by confessing to masterminding the world's biggest Ponzi scheme -- he's dying of cancer, sources told The Post.

Pancreatic cancer is pretty fast moving. It can kill you in 6 months time. When would he have gotten diagnosed?

If he does have cancer he will next be asking for an early released based on compassionate grounds.

That is exactly what I was alluding to. Maybe that was part of his plan all along.

I think Bernie's starting to lose it (or pretending to). From that same article...

Meanwhile, a bare-chested Bernie has been killing time at the prison participating in Native American religious purification ceremonies held at an on-grounds "sweat lodge," other sources said.

He accepted invitations from Native American inmates to join them at their weekly prayer services. The ceremonies involve praying, using heated rocks to induce sweat and smoking from a ceremonial pipe.
Madoff is also making new friends at the prison complex through another unlikely clique -- the homosexual posse, although the relationships are purely platonic, according to the sources.

"In prison, you stick to your own kind, but he's doing the exact opposite by hanging with the Indians and [homosexuals] -- so who is going to have his back?" wondered one jailbird.

Another inmate said various "gangs" at the prison are trying to recruit Bernie to their crews.

    T
he Federal Bureau of Prisons said Monday that the convicted swindler Bernard L. Madoff had not been diagnosed with cancer and was not terminally ill.

The bureau directly contradicted a report in The New York Post on Monday that said Mr. Madoff was dying of cancer, citing only unidentified sources.

After receiving numerous queries about the report, a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Prisons, Traci Billingsley, released the following statement:

“While the N.Y. Post story is full of inaccuracies, and we can’t specifically address all of them, we can tell you that Bernie Madoff is not terminally ill, and has not been diagnosed with cancer.”
