As a very jealous XBox 360 owner, I'd like to suggest this being moved to the Operation Sports forums....
I'll shoot a few questions since I'm pretty bummed about 2K9.
-Does the game have difficult sliders which you can tweak?
-Do pitchers have their delivery motions down to a tee? (2K9 does a good job with this)

MVP 05 was my favorite baseball game of all time until I played The Show 08. Now it looks like 09 is even better than 08. What a fantastic franchise.
Anyone notice that at the New Yankee Stadium the announcer tries to emulate Bob Sheppard? IE, Now batting, Number 2, Derek Jeter, Number 2.
I've been playing 09 for about 2 hours, and I'll still take MVP 2005. It was weird playing in the new stadium for the first time. It looks like a mix between the pre and post renovation Stadium. It was just...different.

Ready for the league, too. Just played a few spring training games on franchise and hitting is starting to come back to me. Cano hit my first home run. I wasn't pleased.

I think we have a time frame within which each game must be played based on how many games we play within the season, but the two people who are supposed to play each other can coordinate so its convenient for both parties.

Apparently my account (created last April) is not old enough for commisionership. It says you need 14 days.
I'm guessing this means we have to wait 14 days after the game comes out to create a league. Therefore, I guess be on standby until the week of March 16th!

I'm definitely in for a league. Wont really be able to play until after this friday though because I have a week of exams this week. I'll be able to squeeze in a game in here or there and/or make a draft but can't really hardcore game until this weekend.

Sony's got the roster update issue fixed. Usually their updates come on Monday, so by then they should have the update with the Manny, Nomar, etc. signings.

Halladay was no slouch..and we both had one bad inning..in each game, they were both good games and some great plays. The timing is going to take getting used too, and Wang Sinker is nearly impossible to hit online..lol

i picked up MLB 09 yesterday, and im absolutely loooooooooving it!
its a pleasant upgrade over MLB 08. the hitting is considerably more challenging this time around, pitching is fun, and the visuals are absolutely STUNNING. about to start road to the show.

Same here. I was debating while I was getting my haircut whether I should buy it or not. Well, I did and I too, am loving this game. The Stadium looks great and I like the online roster vault. I already downloaded the rosters with the latest signings (Manny to LA, Hudson, Nomar to Oakland....etc) I'm just waiting for someone to put up a roster with all the real Yankee prospects in the minors instead of just the few that they have now.

Funny, those are actually the same problems im havingDefinitely. I ALWAYS swing too early it says. I can never tell when a ball is too low either. I have a bad batters eye apparently

I love the improvements they made on Road to the Show. You can have your guy drafted instead of just placing him on a team. Of course I got drafted by the Phillies.
just got it tonight, played my first game on all star or second hardest against beckett and the sox and i had 7 hits, 1 run and that was all i needed. CC shutout the sox in a 6 hitter. swisher had a solo home run and that was it. i found it a lot of fun and not frustrating. i cant wait to play another game.
Sucks that this game is only on PS3... it's so amazing...

put me in the same crowd of guys here having a tough time hitting. First game I play (on Veteran), Beckett shuts me down w/ 18 K's
After playing a ton over the past two days, I've improved that K number and it's down to about normal (~7), but getting a regular amount of hits is still a work in progress.
