I hate the Jets. Really, I do. I wish I could go back in time to when I was 9 and persuade myself to become a Giants fan.

Sigh. I was angry when I left the bar (kicking my car door helped that), but I'm over it now. 4-4...meh. Sanchez looked good today, so there's that.

This team finds newer and better ways to lose games every week. Spent about $1500 watching the Jets lose to the fish twice in less than a month. That team is not even that good, now they have three straight wins over the Jets. Unacceptable. This is the last time I ever get truly excited about a Jets team until they actually win something. When they win the AFC east or a playoff game, then I'll buy into the Jets. They fooled me again.
Dem ol' grimy Jets...
104 yards of total offense allowed while Sanchez & Co compile 378 yards. Still manage to lose.
"I see Jesus Montero as a potential once-in-a-generation force on offense."

If the fish were perennial Super Bowl contenders I could understand losing 3 in a row to them. But they are a decent team, not good not bad. I can deal with 8-8 or 9-7, that's what I thought before the season for a team with a rookie HC and QB. Just win a damn game against a very beatable hated rival.
And to all the "Dolfans"at the game who live in NJ/NY (most of them), please explain to me how you can go all out for a team that plays 1500 miles away. What do you do if they ever win anything, throw a 5 man parade down Christopher street? Ridiculous.
Dem ol' grimy Jets...
Before the season started, what did you think this team would do this year? I think too many people got sucked in by the 3-0 start and let their expectations get out of control.Originally Posted by PlsDontTearDownY.S.
We have a rookie QB and a rookie head coach. Growing pains all around. Now we dont have Jenkins or Leon.
Jesus Montero since June 1 (286 at-bats):
.325/.386/.605/.991
July 1 (182 at-bats):
.348/.417/.658/1.075
No one is saying they should have gone 13-3 this year, but just because I thought they'd be 8-8 going this season doesn't warrant them playing terrible against teams they should beat. It's not as if they've lost to great teams. They beat the Pats, stuck with the Saints [and might've beat them if not for a Sanchez meltdown] and lost three games to the Dolphins/Bills which should have never happened.Originally Posted by dabomb2045
You're making it out as if because we think the Jets should have been a mediocre team they are excused for blowing games they should win. IMO that's not a rational way to look at it and is the very definition of a defeatist attitude.
"I see Jesus Montero as a potential once-in-a-generation force on offense."

I think it's safe to say that practically all Jet fans bought into this team maybe making a deep playoff run after starting 3-0, beating the Pats, holding the Saints offense to 10 points and then adding Braylon Edwards even though most of us thought this was a 9-7 team back in August.Originally Posted by dabomb2045
That said, aren't you pissed that we've blown 3 straight, and one in extremely humiliating fashion at home to one of our 2 most hated rivals, despite your low expectations? Win one for the fans for crying out loud. Back in the Al Groh/Herm days we won 10 straight against a Miami team that was better than their current squad. And those Jet teams were nothing special.
Dem ol' grimy Jets...
For what`s it worth 4-4 is not bad considering rookie coaches and QB and injuries. In 40 years I don`t think I`ve ever witnessed a team dominate another team and lose because of specialty teams. Best of luck guys......

Bought them because they were Front Row Club, 1st row off the field. $105 a piece, parking included, and then the 25% cashback from Bing.
Hopefully the game means something, if not, it will be cool to simply be the closest fans to the action.

The toolbag apparently forgot about Coughlin hopping up and down and waving his arms around trying to pump the crowd up back in 2006. And this was on the sideline, no less.
I have no problem with it. I'd love it if we had a rambunctious college atmosphere at all our home games like we did for the first Patriots game. Being surrounded by that kind of energy was awesome. And to suggest, like Kay did, that calling on the fans to boost their energy is somehow taking Ryan's attention away from football strategy is utter stupidity. Rex wants fans, not spectators.

This game has to be some sort of brutal joke.
Maybe we'd be winning if our offense didn't decide to turnover the ball every single damn possession. What a novel concept.

Instead of calling a timeout, why didn't they just throw the challenge flag?
You would have gotten to huddle up, and either you lose the timeout, just like you would by calling it, or you get the TD and keep the timeout.
Touchdown!
Very smart play by Drew....wow.
And Braylon Edwards (and the defense) cost the Jets the game.
