    Winter Meetings

OK, guys--I've been out of pocket for a while...been dealing with some personal health issues.

I understand the winter meetings are due to start up around the end of the first week in December. What does anybody know? What does anybody expect?

Alan's re-hab has been going very well. He begins his throwing re-hab this Monday. He's strong and looks good. Looking for good things ahead...

I can't really help you out regarding Winter Meetings, but I'm curious about whether or not Alan expects to be picked in the Rule V Draft and whether or not he was surprised that he wasn't protected.

Glad to see you back, and to hear that young Mr. Horne is doing well. Hope he can bounce back and be a great asset to us this year!

Sorry to hear about your health issues. I'll be sure to say a prayer for you this evening.

Looks like we're three for three there...I'm getting good reports from my doctor, that makes all of us happy, and Alan's still a Yankee.

Alan's throwing re-hab is going very well--he says his arm feels so much better right now he didn't realize how much it was hanging up last year. Looking for good things ahead.

Mr Horne - congrats - that must be a huge load off your mind... and that's great news on Alan not being selected in the Rule 5. Should be a pretty good rotation and pen in Scranton in 2009
