Gunmen have targeted nine locations in south Mumbai, including two luxury hotels. A state spokesman put the death toll at 78. Gunmen are holding hostages at the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels, police said. One witness told reporters gunmen had tried to find people with U.S. or British passports.

At any rate, this is absolutely horrible news. I know that the Oberoi hotels are like the ultimate in luxury hotels. 78 dead is just amazing and so very, very tragic. RIP.

The India Times is now saying 80 dead over 900 injured.
This is just disgusting. This world is completely depressing.
I keep getting this sick feeling that something worse is just around the corner. Like this whole thing is just a diversion to get the world's attention away from something ten times as horrible.
Death toll at 125 now; was around 101 two hours ago. 30 more trapped by fires on the upper floor of one of the hotel.
Very sad.
