It`s true folks...................Vin Scully has dedicated the LF bleachers as Mannyville.
Since it seems that many fans here are fascinated by" Manny being Manny" it deserves a thread to watch his progress in LA.

I think he'll fit in with the Dodgers. He's already telling people he's happy in LA. Dunno how long that'll hold up though haha...

I hope the Dodgers resign him. He's so much tolerable 3,000 miles away and in a different league.

Every single at-bat isn't life or death to the Dodgers fan base. I can see him remaining in LA.

I hope so. Anywhere except New York - the Bronx I mean.Originally Posted by CallOfTheCrow

For the second time in less than a week, we agree. Though I'd also like to keep him in the NL and preferably on a pacfic time zone team.Originally Posted by 4bronxbombers

oops....no offense CA people. I LOVE CA really.![]()

Tolerable for you. It sucks for me. Having seen the clips of today's game, he's even more of a #$%^&* pussy. And that's insulting to our family felines!Originally Posted by BillBuckner

I love how Manny gets into the bench clearing incidents. He makes sure there are a few guys holding him back before he puts on his macho act. The same way he did when he thought Clemens was throwing at him. What a cowardly punk he is. Great hitter but I never want to see him in pinstripes!

I believe it's called "Mannywood" not Mannyville! He may be a jerk, but Jeez that guy can hit!
Nope....it`s Mannyville...........since his 1st week....Originally Posted by The Q Bomb

You just saw a sign that somebody wrote......

That's so true. He is big up in everybody's face - when the face is 5 feet away.Originally Posted by Johnycque

Yes the SOB can certainly hit! I think the only way to get him out was to do what Clemens did. He got in his head. Manny was scared at the plate. He couldn't concentrate on hitting. It's the only time I remember a Yankee pitcher having the upper hand and he didn't need to hit him or do anything against the rules. With Manny it's enough for him to think he is going to get hit. I don't know why they don't pitch him that way in every single at bat.Originally Posted by The Q Bomb
he looks like he wants to be there. and hes playing hard as of right now. They could be a good team with all their young talend centered around Manny for a few more years and getting all the attention off Ethier and Kemp and whatnot. He could be the best thing to happen to the Dodgers in a while.
Phil Hughes is a starter!
Clemens didn't even do that. The pitch was over the plate, it was just up around his eyes. Manny was waiting for the first high pitch so he could take offense. It was ridiculous, IMO.Originally Posted by The Q Bomb
I know this is almost sacrilege, but I really like Manny's antics and clowning around...for me it's hard to hate the guy. He just seems like he's enjoying the game, he's loose and having fun, which is the way it's supposed to be played.
Global Warming and climate change hysteria could well represent the historical pinnacle of collective insanity.
That's the "Manny being Manny" that everyone liked. I will say, however, that rarely is playing the game "the way it's supposed to be played" and Manny in the same sentance.Originally Posted by nyyfanatic85
