2008 NFL Watching The Scoreboard Thread

Figured we could use a thread for assorted games, such as the one in ITL.

It all starts tonight, with the Hall of Fame game between the Colts and Redskins.

The Colts do an on-side kick to start off the year.

And the Redskins come right back and take a 7-0 lead, shortly more than a minute into the game.

And NBC is cutting away from the game to show pictures of Favre arriving.

I was thinking we could use this mainly for the preseason, as posting individual preseason game threads could be annoying.

Brennan looks pretty good. I've always thought he was better than the typical Hawaii system QB (Timmy Chang for instince), and it looks like he could be.

Very impressive. Only one game, but if we see more of this, we got a steal in the 6th round.

And you wonder why his mind seems elsewhere while he's coaching third sometimes (okay most of the time).

Yea that's not bad, I think I would rather see Carolina v SD instead of the Cowboys, but I get it.

    I'm getting Jets-Dolphins, Seahawks-Bills and Cowboys-Browns.

I'm going to the Yankees game though, so I think I'm only going to watch the first half of Favre's debut and then the Colts-Bears game later tonight.

I'd rather watch just about any game then the Cowboys.

I'm sure we'll see half of the Jets game by CBS proxy due to the Favre love-fest.

Falcons are up 14-0 on Detroit (I chose Atlanta in pick'em as well ).

Michael Turner had a 66 yard TD run, and already has 81 yards rushing halfway through the first.

He was able to walk downstairs after he reached the sideline so it's probably not that bad.

After losing only six fumbles all last year the Pats have lost two on their first two drives.

It amazes me how an NFL player can make through a season, let alone one game, without getting injured. The players are so amazingly strong and fast... well, it's just a tough way to make a living.

What a 4th quarter in the Panthers-Chargers game.....Carolina was in control at 19-10, but SD offense wakes up late with two awesome drives for TD's to go up 24-19 with about 2:30 left.

But Delhomme drives Carolina down to the SD 10....and hits Rosario in the end zone at :00 to win the game for the Panthers.

Dramatic finish of Week 1 so far.

Great win for the Carolina Panthers and a tough loss for the San Diego Chargers.
