Springfield (AP) - The team with the bext record in the game have announced a two-for-two deal to try and solidify a run at the championship. The Powerplant have agreed to part with #1 prospect LHP Clayton Kershaw and minor league closer Casey Weathers to Those Magnificent Men In Their Deep Blue Stirrups in exchange for SS Derek Jeter and OF Alfonso Soriano.

"Injuries really forced our hand here," said Plant GM Waylon Smithers. "We had hopes that Greene could turn around his thus disapponting season, but he's most likely out for the year. Macier has done an admirable job as a fill-in, but we needed someone who could put us over the top.

"When you get a chance to acquire an Alfonso Soriano, you don't think twice. These two will fill the holes we've had for too long and I think we're well situated for the playoffs. It looks like our pitchers are finally getting healthy."

okay well...you got me there...but i still say that trade was bs too....i never need to be a commish because nothing would get done around here....i would piss everybody off...guess i need to keep my trade opinions to myself lol....i think that'd be best for everyone.
