No doubt. Michael Kay said it best when he said the Giants don't have to worry about getting that bad news phone call in the middle of the night with their QB.Originally Posted by Tyler Durden

You can't always believe the pre-draft rumors but.....
....if the Bills are seriously considering Tebow over Clausen, they deserve to be that horrible.
Don't tease me, you know what I do for a living.
They are thinking of drafting Tebow in the 2nd round if he's available but I'd be absolutely shocked if it was the first round. They aren't choosing Tebow over Clausen though. They are choosing to improve their OL over taking a QB who'd get killed behind their current line.Originally Posted by philleotardo

While Nix has never drafted an OL in the first round, the Bills will most likely draft an OL unless there is a big run on them or something unexpected happens.
The team is likely to unload Lynch draft day or even the day before. The Bills and Lions have talked of a deal where the Bills send Lynch and a pick to the Lions for their 2nd round pick (I don't think we can get this for Lynch without a higher draft pick). I do think they are trying to get rid of Lynch.
The Bills are very high on Tebow. They believe he will do anything he needs to succeed in the NFL. Gailey wants his QB to be a real athlete. Gailey has worked with players who had far less ability than Tebow (see Jay Fiedler) so he thinks he can make Tebow a player in this league. Someone may take him before the Bills can though. Tebow will be a cash cow for whoever drafts him though.
The Bills also like Colt McCoy enough to draft him.

I'm sure you've expressed an opinion on it in one of these threads, but what would you like to see happen?Originally Posted by TheManKnownAsMecca

I personally want them to take Clausen first and after that they can choose whoever they want. When mocks began, Bruce Campbell was a 1st round pick, now I've seen mocks he falls to Buffalo in the 2nd. He was a workout warrior so I really don't like him but if it's the second round I'm up for that.Originally Posted by philleotardo
I've also seen drafts where they get Bulaga and then have their choice of McCoy or Tebow. If that happens I'd also be fine with it.
Gailey knows how to make QBs look good. He made Jay Fiedler look excellent, he made Aikman look good at the tail end of his career (I hope no one thinks I'm saying Aikman wasn't good but when Gailey took over the Cowboys he had lost a step), he did wonders for Kordell Stewart too. Bottom line is that Gailey can make QBs look really good. So I'm just going to see how Nix drafts for the Bills. He did an excellent job in SD and I actually trust him to put together quite a good draft.

ESPN reported that the Steelers did contact several teams with top 10 picks in tomorrow's draft. So far the Bills and Rams have said no to a trade for Big Ben.
I don't want them to trade him this year because they likely won't get back fair trade value at this time. Next year will be the better time. Also it gives the team more time to evaluate Dixon.Originally Posted by YankeePride1967

At this stage, if he accepted the punishment, I guess it means he is guilty of something.
No way anyone would just accept a 1/3 of the season punishment if they didnt do anything wrong.
So, hopefully he gets his head on straight and can start to earn the respect of the public back again.
"Owning the Yankees," Steinbrenner once said, "is like owning the Mona Lisa."
Fantasy question. Should I keep Ben knowing that will have to use a high draft pick on a QB or keep Cutler? I kept Marshawn Lynch last year and it was a big mistake.

Tomorrow the NFL owners will vote on whether to award the 2014 Super Bowl to the New Meadowlands Stadium. The Daily News head count is 12 in favor, 7 against, and 13 declined to answer so far. Looks like the New York market is going to get the Super Bowl at this rate.
LenDale White released by Seahawks:
If he can't play for Carroll, then who can he play for? :
http://blog.seattlepi.com/football/archives/208172.asp
"So much for the LenDale White era with the Seahawks.
The veteran running back, acquired in a draft-day trade from Tennessee, was waived on Friday in a surprising move by the NFL club.
(UPDATE 3:20 p.m.: NFL.com's Jason LaCanfora is now reporting White is likely facing a four-game suspension from the league for a drug issue. Read more on that situation here.)
Various reports are hinting that White's attitude and approach weren't pleasing the team. It's surprising that a player could get sideways that quickly with the organization, but White obviously was on a short leash with his former USC coach Pete Carroll."

Golden Tate caught in donut shop when it was closed:
http://blog.seattlepi.com/football/archives/210076.asp
"What started as an unfortunate early-morning incident with police for Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate somehow turned into a remarkable marketing opportunity for Top Pot Doughnuts after the rookie was caught with stolen maple bars on Saturday in Bellevue.
The story, originally reported by TMZ, caused considerable embarrassment but no legal problem for the team's second-round draft pick from Notre Dame.
"We went to Top Pot for freshly baked maple bars," Tate said after the Seahawks' offseason practice session Tuesday. "A buddy made the mistake of going in and grabbing a couple. We ate them. Nothing much to the story other than that.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who clearly has a knack for diffusing such situations, took a light-hearted approach when asked about the incident.
"I'm not disappointed in the guy being at a donut shop when they have maple bars like Top Pot has," Carroll said. "However, under the circumstances I think they were closed or trying to close or something like that."
Mo on repeating in 2010:
“The question is, do we want to do it? The question is, are we still hungry enough to do it?”
To be fair, those are some darn good maple bars.
They are. Been to that store a couple times. He does live right above it, so can't blame him really. Nothing like the smell of Top Pot Doughnuts wafting up into your condo/apt.Originally Posted by YanksFan1992
