Yes, Sandra Bullock has a better chance of pitching well and getting signed.

Ive never believed in disliking a player because they are injury prone, its out of their control usually and we know that Pavano apparently worked extremely hard in the offseason before the 07 season to prevent such injuries from occuring. The only stupid thing he has done was hiding that car accident from the yankees.

Don't forget the accident itself - speeding on rainy roads at some weird hour of the day, leaving the scene......not what I would call an intelligent move.

If (a big if) He come back this season and pitches extremely well for us down the stretch. Could he become a Type A free agent?
I'm fairly certain some NL team will sign him and he'll be a tolerable 4th starter for them in 2009. He'll win 12-14 games in the NL West and further infuriate Yankee fans.

Or, he gives up his futile attempts to keep pitching and turns into the next Rick Ankiel for some AL East team, thereby denying us the offensive boost we so sorely need.

Definitely trade him. What really troubles me is that I don't understand how so many people could ignore the contributions that Batman would bring to this team.

Probably Dave Visbeck, YASS and the other 5 Red Sox fans who come to visit from time to time as he now has 7 yes votes.

Lohud blog a week ago or so mentioned that Rajah was not even in Tampa.

The Yanks want him as far away as possible. If that's the case where is he rehabbing? I don't think he will ever see the hill this year with the Yanks. He won't get his work in.
When asked if the Red Sox would've beaten Tampa Bay in the ALCS had Manny not gotten his wish and been traded, Ortiz replied: "Probably. I'm not gonna lie to you."

It would stink if they re-signed Carl Pavano.

Re: If Pavano comes back and pitches well should we re-sign him?

He will never pitch for the Yankees again in his life..And I would honestly be surprised if he spent any significant time in any Major league uniform in the future...he hasnt pitched more than a week in the last 3 years and is coming back from a TJ...But if he ever came back to pitch vs the Yanks in Yankee Stadium....WOW he wouldnt get out of there alive

Anyone on this poll that didnt say WTF???!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or laugh is either related to Pavano or is a Red Sox fan

Re: If Pavano comes back and pitches well should we re-sign him?

I actually see Pavano going on to be one of those Journeyman pitchers that floats around the league over the next 4-5 years. I doubt that he will ever pitch again for the Yankees, but I could see him having a decent season or two for some other team.

So apparently Pavano has 12 relatives posting on this site.

only if we sign him to a contract where the front office pitches for him and gets hurt and in turn he pays the 39.95 million.

They are not his relatives . They are the people he has tied up in his basement and torturing them .

re-sign him? Absolutley.....not! He is too suceptable to injuries and i dont think any of the kings horses or any of the kings men could put that Humpty Dumpty back together again. he could fill in part time for one of the bat boys, but its possible he could break an arm doing that.
