    Marvin Harrison Hunts People

    Allegedly.

So someone gets shot by a bullet from a gun that belongs to Marvin Harrison (after the victim has a disagreement with Marvin) and the next day Marvin has that gun on him and we aren't going to talk about it?

    http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/...ison-incident/

Obviously details are still coming in and it could turn out to be nothing but I think we should treat this as if Marvin had been involved in "consensual horseplay" with a woman and hurt her finger.

It is what it is but it ain't what you think
I say we stomp him! Then we tattoo him! Then we hang him! And then we kill him!
I say we let him go.

How long before Dallas trades for him?

Seriously though.....sounds like he's pretty much screwed. What an idiot. Here's a guy who had such a wonderful reputation around the league and with NFL fans. Thats gone now....and if this story is true, then his reputation is certainly the least of his problems.

    Jesus Montero since June 1 (286 at-bats):
    .325/.386/.605/.991
    July 1 (182 at-bats):
    .348/.417/.658/1.075

    Re: Marvin Harrison Hunts People

Didn't expect to see Harrison involved in something like this given his reputation. Has Dungy descended from heaven to make a statement on this?
Burns: I wonder if this Homer Nixon is any relation?
Smithers: Unlikely, sir. They spell and pronounce their names differently.

I'll take the Randy Moss approach and wait for all the facts.

This plays right into the Colts hands. At 36 and coming off knee surgery, MH is done. His salary is unacceptble in regards to his production. Now Polian has an excuse to dump him.

Meanwhile, Anthony Gonzalez had a terrific rookie season and will only get better.

Nahhh -- 31 is pretty much the age limit for taking on other teams' problems.
At 36, it's wayyyyy too late to turn Marvin's life around...

Seriously, though, I hope this is something that has just taken on a life of its own.
It would be a shame to see someone who has performed much goodwill throughout his career be remembered for something as stupid as this. Either way, his reputation is tarnished regardless of the final outcome.

    Only in Philadelphia...

    STOP SNITCHIN'.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/fo...hot_again.html

The man who sued Marvin Harrison, contending that the former Colts wide receiver had shot him last year, was in critical condition Tuesday after being shot seven times in Philadelphia.

Dwight Dixon, 33, told officers that he believed that Harrison was behind the latest shooting, according to a Philadelphia police source. According to the source, authorities are investigating whether Harrison, currently a free agent, is linked.

"Mr. Dixon told officers on scene that he had a dispute with Marvin Harrison," the source said of yesterday's shooting. "And Marvin Harrison probably hired someone to do this."

    Marvin Zaroff?
"We understand that John Henry must be embarrassed, frustrated and disappointed by his failure in this transaction. Unlike the Yankees, he chose not to go the extra distance for his fans in Boston."

    From KSK, hilarious

The man who previously accused Marvin Harrison of shooting him, now claims Harrison was behind his most recent attack. Someone shot Dwight Dixon seven times in Dirty North Philly Tuesday. Dixon reportedly told police on the scene that Harrison, who hasn’t been charged in either incident, was somehow responsible. Police reported that Dixon was hit in the chest, stomach and arms– thus ruling out JaMarcus Russell as a suspect.

    Re: Marvin Harrison Hunts People

    Holy smokes.

    This is unbelievable.

From the February issue of GQ:

    http://www.gq.com/sports/profiles/20...arvin-harrison

Marvin Harrison is six feet tall and 185 pounds. He has a neatly trimmed mustache and the body-fat content of an Olympic swimmer. He became the dominant wide receiver of his era not by outleaping or outwrestling defenders but by exploiting an almost supernatural talent for getting open: for feints, fakes, jukes, dodges, bluffs, stutter steps, sudden bursts of sick speed. But at this moment, Nixon says, Marvin Harrison did not run. He stood on the sidewalk and calmly raised his wiry arms. In each hand, Nixon clearly saw, was a gun.

    Nixon froze.

"YOU A BITCH-ASS NIGGA!" Nixon heard the fat man scream at Harrison. "YOU AIN'T GONNA SHOOT. YOU AIN'T GONNA SHOOT. DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO."

Nixon was across the street and thirty yards away when Harrison started shooting. Pop pop pop pop pop pop—a great staccato gust of bullets. Steadily, Nixon says, Harrison unloaded both guns into the fat man's car, stippling the red Toyota Tundra with bullet holes as the fat man ducked in his seat. Eventually, the fat man sat up and sped off, heading straight toward Nixon's position as Harrison darted into the street and continued to shoot.
The rest of the article is unreal.

    That is nuts.

It all happened so long ago I guess I forgot about this story.

Pop was asking for trouble hanging out at that restaurant every morning. Don't f*ck with Marvin Harrison.
