42% of voters want Brian Bruney
38% of voters want Chad Gaudin

Can we rail on Cashman again for not keeping Gaudin for $3 million?Originally Posted by 2PhonesMaccabee

Depending on how much we have to pay of Gaudin's salary I think he could be worth a try.Originally Posted by Yankee Fan in Boston

That being said he was atrocious this year, and I don't see where he could fit in.
He only pitched 17 innings, I think he is worth a minor league deal.Originally Posted by Yankeeah

would be kinda nice to get Gaudin to add depth
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Because there is a very good chance that he will be on a major league team in the playoffs(World Series) with the Yankees.Originally Posted by Yankeeah

So you want him to accept a minor league deal, but you think a selling point will be that he will be on the post season roster? He was on the roster for all three rounds last year and pitched one inning. Since then, the pitching has been improved, so why would he now suddenly be on the roster?Originally Posted by 2PhonesMaccabee
Gaudin hasn't been quite as awful as you might think. He's striking out more than a batter per inning and has a K/BB ratio of 4-1. Looking at his velocity and his individual stats, there's nothing that shows he should be this bad. I doubt his BABIP stays over .400.Originally Posted by Yankeeah
I would offer him a minor league deal, but he can probably do better elsewhere.

Win #28 for George.
Having watched several of his appreances he was pretty bad. These weren't flairs and 27 hoppers finding holes but rather balls crushed in the gaps. Anyway, yeah if he signs an milb deal I'd add him for depth but some struggling team will probably give him a shot at the rotation, maybe.Originally Posted by jimmykey2

The guy accepted a minor league deal at the beginning of the season, I would think if there was a major league offer out there he would have taken that one and it's not like an ERA over 8 will have team falling over him.Originally Posted by Yankeeah
No he didn't.Originally Posted by 2PhonesMaccabee

The A’s signed Gaudin to a major-league deal and likely will use him out of the bullpen to start the season.

Those are career win totals with all teams. Obviously Towers, who was with the Yankees last year, doesn't have 45 wins since then.Originally Posted by heyabbott

as this article was loading, I saw it was titled "grady sizemore placed on the DL" and assumed that his DL trip was caused by one of Shelley's monstrous elbow-smashesOriginally Posted by BronxYanks45

yea, seems like hes more of a NL pitcher, still wonder how he would have done in the AL East as a #5Originally Posted by Hellsing

How do we know he's just an NL pitcher?Originally Posted by BronxYanks45
EVERY pitcher does better in the NL. How much higher would his ERA be in the AL? IDK...I need to see a lot more from him, but living in AZ I watch all of his games when I can. (Otherwise I ignore the D-Backs)
Sori's having a nice bounce-back campaign so far with the Cubbies. Always been one of my favorite players to watch hit when he's right.

Bruney signed a minor league deal with the Brewers today. With the awful shape of their bullpen, maybe he can get another shot this year.

I liked Bruney - I will probably be killed for this but I think he was misused by Torre - every time he walked one person or allowed one hit, he was yanked. I think when he lost weight and pitched under Girardi, he was looking good until he got the foot injury....Originally Posted by sweet_lou_14
