You also ignored the fact that Granderson has power which Jackson never showed and the ability to mash RHP, which Jackson never showed. (<.500 SLG% against both LHP/RHP in the minors)

I'd think people talking about BABIP know what it is. A BABIP near .500? Obviously some players can have a very high BABIP for their career - look at Ichiro or that Derek Jeter guy - but they're not close to that. Unless Austin Jackson has the most insanely lucky season maybe ever, a lot less things will drop in for hits throughout the year.

I'm obviously cherry-picking, but if he doesn't come out for the 9th to try and get the CG when he was obviously tiring (April 29th), he doesn't load the bases and give up a grand slam. Take that disaster out, and his ERA on the season is 2.67. Good for him.

Clippard got his 5th win today. Glad he's pitching well but you can't help but wonder what would happen if he was pitching in the AL...
i went to a Nationals game last week. it was odd, to say the least, when i saw Clippard's face on the cover of the program.
good for him though. always liked that kid.
Clippard got another win yesterday and at 6-0 he has the most wins without a loss in MLB.
Clippard is obviously doing very well but four of his wins are from blown saves.
