March 16, 2008: Indians at Yankees

Let's hope for a good one.

    Lineups per PeteAbe:

    YANKEES
    Cabrera CF
    Lane LF
    Ensberg DH
    Rodriguez 3B
    Giambi 1B
    Duncan RF
    Cano 2B
    Betemit SS
    Molina C

    Pitching
    Wang
    Rasner
    Patterson
    Britton
    Ramirez

    INDIANS
    Sizemore CF
    Dellucci LF
    Hafner DH
    Martinez 1B
    Peralta SS
    Blake 3B
    Gutierrez RF
    Cabrera 2B
    Shoppach C

    Pitching
    Sabathia
    Kobayashi
    Perez
    Mastny
    Fultz

Game on YES and WCBS 880, game time 1:10 PM!

Small bit of Yankee news, LHP Billy Traber has been placed on the 40-man roster, and RHP Andrew Brackman has been placed on the 60-day DL. Melky Cabrera and Shelley Duncan will both appeal their 3-game suspensions.
Now that we've clinched, there's only one thing I can say: let's not ................ this up.

Steal of 2nd by melky. Long fly by ensberg to the track. Just curious, would all of you prefer Lane, Woodward, Green, or Ensberg for the final bench spot (assuming Betemit and Duncan get spots)?

We need to lose this Arod character. I don't think he'll make the team striking out on bad pitches.

Sac fly to left, 2-0 Indians.

Single, single, walk, ground ball out at second, sac fly. Does that help?

Betemit nearly pulled a Jeter in the hole at SS, a leaping throw in the hole that just missed getting the runner.

Perfect throw, just a little late.

Sizemore with a base hit to left field. 3-0. Men on second and third.

Wang picking up where he left off against Cleveland. Teams who are patient tend to do well against Wang.

True- but most of the time Wang gets hit, he doesn't get hit hard. It's usually seeing-eye singles like this.
