I know it's kind of silly, but I always cry during the Fox and the Hound when the lady leaves todd in the forrest. There are a lot of other movies that make me cry, but this one just came to my mind.
What movie scenes make you cry?

It doesn't make me cry, but the scene from My Girl where Vada starts talking to Thomas J. during his funeral always gets to me for some reason.

Paul Edgecomb: On the day of my judgment, when I stand before God, and He asks me why did I kill one of his true miracles, what am I gonna say? That is was my job? My job?
John Coffey: You tell God the Father it was a kindness you done. I know you hurtin' and worryin', I can feel it on you, but you oughta quit on it now. Because I want it over and done. I do. I'm tired, boss. Tired of bein' on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. Tired of not ever having me a buddy to be with, or tell me where we's coming from or going to, or why. Mostly I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head all the time. Can you understand?
Paul Edgecomb: Yes, John. I think I can.

My wife was flying that day. So, it's a difficult movie for me to watch on a lot of emotional levels but I thought I needed to see it. The last 15 minutes of that movie... well, if you don't feel something right down to your soul then you're not human. It leaves you numb.Originally Posted by RYMASTER or Ryan_Yankees

Forest Gump --
You died on a Saturday morning. And I had you placed here under our tree. And I had that house of your father's bulldozed to the ground. Momma always said dyin' was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn't. Little Forrest, he's doing just fine. About to start school again soon. I make his breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. I make sure he combs his hair and brushes his teeth every day. Teaching him how to play ping-pong. He's really good. We fish a lot. And every night, we read a book. He's so smart, Jenny. You'd be so proud of him. I am. He, uh, wrote a letter, and he says I can't read it. I'm not supposed to, so I'll just leave it here for you. Jenny, I don't know if Momma was right or if, if it's Lieutenant Dan. I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both. Maybe both is happening at the same time. I miss you, Jenny. If there's anything you need, I won't be far away.

Total chick movies, but I love them: Steel Magnolias and Beaches. The end of It's A Wonderful Life. Old Yeller. Charlotte's Web. Where The Red Fern Grows. When Jenny dies in Forrest Gump, and Forrest visits her grave and tells her that their son is "so smart" and that he misses her. Saving Private Ryan.

Spielberg endings frequently give the tear ducts a good workout:
ET
Schindler's List
Saving Private Ryan
AI
Also scenes in the following:
Terms of Endearment
Dancer in the Dark
Imitation of Life
City Lights
We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
OK, someone has to mention a movie musical (even it was originally a Broadway Play). So many scenes to choose from in musicals but the death scene from West Side Story gets me every time.

I was scared of E.T. when I was a girl. I would not walk around by myself in the house, I would always have to look around my room to make sure E.T. wasn't there. Oh, and when I went sailing with my parents when I was younger.. I blammed E.T. for clogging the toilet when my Mom was asleep on our boat.Originally Posted by GiambiRocks
