How can there be zero coverage in this day and age?
The fifth starter spot no longer exists, because Sidney Ponson ate it.

According to Gameday they just yanked Wang, 2/3 IP 6 runs on 6 hits.
Teams from Ohio really hammer him no matter what time of year.

Per MLB Gameday -- from what I can see -- Wang gave up 6 runs in the first inning and was just pulled for Scott Patterson.....
awesome

I'm guessing Wang had no sink and/or no control.
The positive is farnsworth didn't stink too bad his first inning

Yankees are being shut out through 4, and Rasner is now in to pitch.
If a ST game is played and no one can see it or hear it, did it really happen?
Not good. Any of the regulars in the line-up?

unreal. I've been saying ALL offseason..It's great we brought everyone back don't get me wrong...but WE DON'T HAVE A ACE!...Hopefully Phil can turn into that ace but right now we have no ace...Wangs a very good pitcher but hasnt really come up big in big spots...and I hope to god this isn't a preview of whats to come...

Oh sweet Jesus, a grand slam for Encarnacion and it is 10-0 Reds through 4...![]()

OK, just saw this post... I don't disagree -- I'd love it if he was our #3 -- but it kills me when people act like he is useless.Originally Posted by JOBA RULES
Yankees go down 1,2,3 in the fifth. Damon is still the only Yankee to get on base.

I think everyone would love to have Wang as their number 3 - however, there aren't too many teams in baseball that have a good enough pitcher to make Wang their number 2 (including us).Originally Posted by Yankee Fan in Boston

There's actually a good number of teams in major league baseball that would probably like to have CMW as their #1. People look at the ALDS last year and forget that any pitcher can lose his command for a week at any given time.

I have no problem with him on the hill for a big game. But like anyone else, if he does not have it, then C'est La Vie..

Yeah I guess so...I don't mind him on the hill either I just don't think he's that solid stud ace just yet....1-3 record in the playoffs isn't ace work..but wangs young and we need his wins more then ever this yearOriginally Posted by aeromac76

He's only had 4 postseason starts. And the two bad ones happened within 4 days of each other.Originally Posted by JOBA RULES
So in his first 2 posteason starts he had a 2.75 ERA.
He was awful last postseason, but that was over the course of 2 starts in 5 days. That can happen to anyone. Especially an extreme groundball pitcher.
I thought his playoff record was 2-2, not 1-3??Originally Posted by JOBA RULES

Thats the thing, the fact he's a ground ball picther if that sinker isn't working man its not going to be pretty....even if those starts were 5 days apart I still counted on him to do something...I know it was on limited rest, I'm not trying to bash Wang at all he's our most reliable starter right nowOriginally Posted by MTYankee23

The good thing is, it most often is working. I think we're all just a little gun shy with him since his last postseason performance was his worst. The 1-3 record really doesn't mean all that much when you consider that in one of those losses, he allowed 1 ER.Originally Posted by JOBA RULES
