Pretty stupid question, but I have on the Pettitte news conference, and this thought came to my mind.
Since the Mitchell Report has come out, and numerous players have spoken out as to their use of HGH, and other steroids, does anyone think the 2008 season will have steroid users?
I don't know why it wouldn't. There are lots of masking agents out there, and I'm sure some players will continue to try and get away with it.

People still will take their chances. I actually think we may see a bunch of people, due to the fact it seems that it was so prevalant that many may begin to think it is not such a huge crime anymore.

Given how few major leaguers have been caught, are you saying you think the game is very very clean?
These guys are pampered from very early in their development and I'm sure most believe they could do anything and get away with it. That's why Clemens got so indignant when confronted with evidence of his guilt. His defense basically consisted of "But, I'm Roger Clemens!"
Maybe the Mitchell Report will be a wake-up call, but I kind of doubt it. I imagine most will just find smarter ways to secure the stuff (you know, like not buying it with a personal check).
The whole current MLB steroid testing policy is a joke. You are tested ~3 times a year. Once during off season, once 5 days within spring training and I think once during the season. Any person with 1/2 a brain will know how to evade the system. If only we have a system more like the Olympics will the sport be cleaner.

I agree, but Bud Selig hasn't mentioned a new testing system all he has done has changed the suspension policy how about this test positive your banned

It depends on the type of performance.
Seriously, few players in MLB have earned the benefit of the doubt, so you have to assume that there will be PED users. The reward still outweighs the risk for some.

the players still know days in advance about testing, and there is still no HGH test. there isnt going to be a significant change in juicing
