I know he was just added but I am going to go Albaladejo. He showed an ability to get outs at the major league level. Now we get to see if he can do in the real major leagues the AL.

I have to go with Colin Curtis, he is our 19th rated prospect with BA and our 20th for PP.com. At 38, he is very past due.

My apologies on Albaladejo. I got kinda lazy and was depending on poster nominations.

I personally would have placed him right before Steve White, but maybe many don't agree based on the Pirela votes.

I'll get Weems in there soon also.

I was also thinking that Jose Veras/Darrell Rasner were NOT still rookies. Can anyone confirm for me?

    Curtis.

He is not the slugger that turns heads, but he seems like a very solid hitter. I think he will turn into a solid pro, and he deserves to be around here.

I would add Chris Malec next. Check out his stats since he was drafted. Seems like a very useful player, and I love his BB/K rates. Has some pop, and can play a couple of spots in the inf. May not get a shot in the Bronx, but someone will want this scrappy guy.

Also, looking at the names on the 29 players not listed yet. Just a few years ago, this would have been our top 29!!! My, how times have changed. These guys didn't even crack the top 40. And there is some very good talent there.

I like Malec, but I think he is a tweener. Hits like a 2b with 1b skills. Not enough power to play 1b. Probably a lot like a poor mans Andy Phillips.

And as good as he was last year, he was equally bad in 06. I just need some more info, and as he'll be 26 in August, I need it fast.

At this point I don't think he merits a mention on the top 50 list.

I would agree, and alot of those guys were.

I keep saying it again and again, the Yankee system is loaded. But it also goes to show how poor it was just a couple years ago. And even then it was producing an average amount of talent at the major league level.

Cano, Wang, Melky, Proctor, Admiral Halsey and some others that were traded away.

I wonder if a study has ever been done on impact signings. Like say signings of prospects for more than $100k. And the likelyhood that they make the majors vs those under that number.

Then take that and see how many "impact signings" say each team has made in the past 10 years (adjusted for inflation).

I would imagine the Yankees have stepped up their "impact" signings the past couple of years.

I'm sticking with Pirela, but Albaladejo definitely made it a tough decision. I agree that he should go right around Steven White.

I just went and watched all of Albaladejo's appearances last season and he seems to be a guy who will definitely get outs at the Ml level.

    90-93 Fastball

Nice tight breaking pitch and he uses the strike zone well.

Looks pretty intimidating on the mound.

He's my bet for the seventh inning this year.

Carlos Urena - 5-tool CF everybody went crazy about him last year, and all of a sudden soured on the kid. He needs more time, but he got the goods.
Congratulations and thank you for number 27, Yankees !!!!!!!!!!!!!. 1 game at a time to 28. C'mon, Yankees.

Go to the box scores of the games he pitched in at MLB.com (news-complete archives) and click on the inning he pitched in the linescore at the top right.

I don't think you can see the playoffs.
