i played against him in high school. he has big feet. and he throws hard.
Lead the way, Mr. Girardi.
I hope the Hamilton success story continues there.
I like your scouting report. Big Feet and throws hard.
This is a GREAT trade for Texas, and I'm pissed off that Cashman didn't grab Hamilton. He really dropped the ball on this one.Originally Posted by YankeeStripes
Damn Cashman for his bull................ philosophy on how to build a team. He just doesn't get it, and he constantly disregards the most important criteria when evaluating players.
Cashman, when will you finally learn????
WE NEED MORE GUYS WITH BIG FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see Hamilton thriving in Arlington, spraying hits all over that field. I hope his problems are truly behind him and he can secure a good career in the big leagues.
Good risk trade by Texas.
“I mean, people knew that Brown was out there, and that Randy was ornery all the time. And Pavano is whoever he is. But if you’re their manager, you can’t go out and write about them like that.”
why would cinci trade him away so easily? clearly he still has issues that they're scared will blow up in their faces and they wanted to get rid of him while they still had the chance
Even if his personal history wasn't an issue, you have to figure Jay Bruce needing a position to play is the main reason. Dunn and Griffey are automatically penciled in so that leaves CF for Hamilton, Freel, and one of the best positional prospects in baseball.
One too many I guess.
Cashman has an affinity for hard throwing 6 foot plus guys who weighs 200+ pounds so that should cover it.Originally Posted by DiMaggio5CF

They dealt from a position of strength to try to fill out the backend of their rotation. The Reds turned 50,000$ and a Rule V pick into what they hope will be a back end of the rotation+ kind of a guy and another one who couldn't break a pane of glass but has still gotten guys out in the minors. Risk on both sides for this trade, but it seems like a good risk.
Let's hug it out, b!tches- Ari Gold
