yikes, I didn't even know he was in the hospital.
Wow. Hopefully he is okay. I get nervous when I hear "blood clot".
Never left the Betances bandwagon.

I thought he was hospitalized from a forearm smash. Here's how I pictured it going down:
He saw Chuck Norris and they bashed each other's forearms. Both ended up in the hospital. 3 bystanders were also hospitalized.
Yikes. I know this is a light-hearted forum most times, but blood clots are serious. You shouldn't joke about that.
I hope he's ok ... thanks for posting that, I hadn't heard about it.

i read that and first thought it was going to be about having that hernia taken care of that i read about earlier in the year not a blood clot in his arm. i hope things are going to be ok with Shelley Duncan i like seeing him on the team and he's a good all around player.
Blood clot in his arm? He better stop with those forearm smashes.
We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
Here's what Roto is saying:
The Yankees aren't talking and they've asked Duncan's family not to comment publicly on the matter, so it seems like there's more to this story.
Who knows what really happened? I hope he's okay.
I heard this today...Did Coltrane actually exist? This is like being blind for 50 years, regaining sight, and then peering directly at the sun.

I wonder if it's a result of his hernia opperation.
I hope all goes well for Shelley during his recovery.
Get well Shelley! We're gonna need you to make sure Giambino stays on the bench (as in you can knock him out!)
Get better/stay well, Shelley.
Never knew he was in there. Get better Shell man.

Hopefully he is okay now that he's out of the hospital. Blood clots can be scary things.

Trade him now.

PS- life in the "209" near Yosemite- I was on a road bike ride yesterday and encountered a ( large ) bear in the middle of the road
Anyone know what is the latest on his condition as of Dec. 6th.?
Today's daily news said they've ruled out anything more serious than just the blood clots (his lymph nodes were swollen, so there was a brief cancer worry), and he should be fine. Good news.Originally Posted by Sixty one

OH thank you God! Before I viewed this thread and it just said "Shelley Duncan released" I was almost positive that meant he was released from the Yanks. I am so happy he wasn't released. Get better soon Shelley.

Here's to hoping that Shelley recovers strong and is able to be our firstbaseman for 2008.![]()
Wow, what's everyone getting RO'ed and suspended?
I hope Duncan gets better soon.![]()
