I agree. Last offseason, IIRC, it wasn't there and ITL got a little messy. The Hot Stove Sub-Forum kept things nice and orderly.

I also support it's revival. I missed it last year.

I loved the HS sub forum. It was great place to throw rumors and ideas around without cluttering up the ITL forum.

Re: Bring Back the Hot Stove Forum.

The whole offseason is "Hot Stove" and I'm pretty sure there's nothing going on "Between The Lines" for a few months now.

What goes in a "Hot Stove" forum and what goes in a "Between the Lines" forum?

Yes, I am ignorant, thanks for asking.

I doubt it happens. We begged for it last year and it never did.

I personally remember that long thread.

I not only motion to bring the Hot Stove Forum back, but also wish for a Trade Deadline forum to appear as in years past when the Deadline approaches

    Thanks for adding the HSF.

One problem - I use the DietNYYFans w/Splenda mode at work, and I can't see the Hot Stove or Auction League sub forums in that mode.

Try clicking on the new posts button (up on the toolbar above) and it should still show posts from those forums

There is no 'new posts' link when using the Diet NYYF w/Splenda mode.

It's a scaled down text only version. Safer for work.

at the very top of ITL (in Splenda mode) there is some incomplete HTML code:

Isn't it getting a little warm outside for the Hot Stove forum?

Can we shut off the "Hot Stove" forum considering that we are now into the season?

I mean, do we need threads discussing a trade for AJ Burnett or signing Piazza or trading Matsui?

So, she's gonna stick around all summer?

Re: Bring Back the Hot Stove Forum.

The Hot Stove forum is now closed to posting. It will be archived at some point. But we kept it active into the season because there's been active discussion in there.

Is the "March Madness" forum going to be closed as well?

I'm sorry to see it go. I know it's not "Hot Stove" season anymore, but I think it still makes sense to have a place for trade/free agent signing proposals/speculation.

Can't we reopen it under a new name? Call it the "Trade Speculation Subforum"?

    Oh lordy no!!

Maybe in July...otherwise, it's just "Team A has just taken out the trash and released X player". "We should consider him for the yankees".

99.9% of the time, that won't be a good idea.

I'm waiting for the "can we look at Pete Rose thread" I know he's older and has issues but he played hard every game and maybe they would let him back into baseball for closure." no thanks!

That's exactly why it's best to leave those threads in their own subforum, no?

It keeps them out of the way of the majority who wouldn't be interested in discussing those things. Now that the separate subforum is closed, you're going to see those threads cluttering up ITL instead of hiding off in their own little corner.
