    Diana: 10 Years Later

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20213789/?gt1=10252

LONDON — I was walking back into the newsroom when a colleague rushed past me and, over his shoulder, turned and said: “She’s dead.”

And I said: “Don’t joke. She can’t be.”

It took a while for me to grasp what had happened. It was too big, too unthinkable.

Sad and all, but not worth all the attention.

I can't believe it has been 10 years! I am STILL upset that she was killed.

I remember hearing her brother's speech/eulogy and thinking it was incredibly good. I'd like to hear it again to see if I'd still feel that way.

Agreed. It's a shame she had to die like that, but I never paid attention to that British royalty stuff then and don't now.

I always wondered why Mother Teresa never had a concert

Diana did a lot of good for people, too. I'll never forget seeing videos of her sitting by the bedside of a child dying of AIDS, or campaigning to rid the world of landmines. She actually tried to do something worthwhile with her life, to help the unfortunate of the world, unlike the rest of the royal family.

Mother Teresa was a saint IMO and is most certainly worthy of a "Thanksgiving Service" as well, but didn't have the profile of being royalty. Diana had cameras following her every move. One can't fault her for the circumstances of her birth, or for having a charm and personality that drew people to her.

There's no doubt about that......I cant fault the 2 sons for wanting to memorialize their mother, too.

Diana was a very pretty, lovely girl. She did a lot of positive things for people.

    However.....and.....
in the whole scheme of life, there are a lot more important people who influenced more of humanity for the positive - and their lives havent been cut short that long ago, either.

    Where are their memorials?

But, so is life........que sera, sera.......

    Long Live Princess Diana.

She and Mother Teresa are two special people helping out in the community.

I watched a recording of the Thanksgiving service they held earlier today. Prince Harry's speech made me cry.

I just can't imagine losing my mom (or mum, as he'd say) at such a tender age.

I don't care how rich you are, losing your mother at such a young age would be very tough for anyone
