Thread: April 9th, 2007 - New York Yankees(2-3) @ Minnesota Twins(4-1) 7:05 ET ESPN

  1. #1

April 9th, 2007 - New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins 8-2!(improve to 3-3)

well heres my first thread I've started outside of Intro and suggestions so I figured I would start a gameday thread if I could. (hopefully its not too early)

New York Yankees(2-3) @ Minnesota Twins(4-1) 7:05 ET on ESPN

    Carl Pavano(0-0) vs Sydney Ponson(0-0)

I think that we should get at least 10 runs off of Ponson. I hope that Pavano has a decent start and gives our bullpen the day off. I would love some quality pitching tonight. Pitching wins championships.

Its our first road game of the year so lets see what happens.

    GO Yankees!!
    GO A-rod

Follow the CS or Tifoso will show you whats up

    Heres to a good game.

we could get 10 off of Ponson but they could get 11 off of Pavano....let's hope our defense & offense is ready tonight

I hope we dont leave in Pavano long enough to get 11 But I like our hitting better then theirs. We need to beat Ponson though. Theres no way why we shouldnt beat him.

    I'll say 12-5 Yankees

Nice, I was looking through the other threads and seeing what was a decent time to start one and I figured one hour early is a good time I just didnt know if it would get locked because of my low post count.

    and nice link

One hour is the deal. Lou locks them if they are up a minute early.

Gotcha, I was wondering what the exact rule on that was. I started mine 10 minutes early but no one replied til like 57 minutes after so its all good.

So nice having a day off so I can actually watch some baseball.

Are you in a time zone (like mine) where 7pm edt games conflict with work?

Yea pretty much. I go by the Mountain time zone so its 4:20 here. and Usually I work from 3-11 every day. Unlike last year where I listened to every game on XM and watched the other ones on TV. So it sucks this year. I should get a job where I work early instead of late. I only get to see/listen to 2 or 3 games a week instead of every game as in the past

Be "friendly" to Lou, or you will have to make 50 (I think) posts around the forum except in the Game thread since posts dont count towards your post total here.

Once you have done that you can start as many threads as you want and have them closed by Lou.
