Not a bad way to start out the season. Not perfect, but I can't complain about a nice W. Good team win.
Also, Mo is amazing. Not that this is news.

Great start to the season.

They had Salas at 95 consistantly and that is right on.Originally Posted by justinvarnes
Normally I would agree. But Mo hasnt struck out the side like that in quite a long time and I think the fact that he threw 96+ at least 10-12 times topping out at 98 should make Yankee fans giddy.
We all know what he did last year at 92-94. At 96-98 he is going for a Cy Young.

I can guarantee that NO ONE chose Luis Vizciano to have the 1st Win for a Yankee pitcher this season in the contest, or even outside of the contest.

I watched YES the whole game, it seemed completely accurate for each pitcher and it had him at 94-97 (like 80% of his pitches were 95)Originally Posted by tdel23

his pitches did look like they were thrown harder though...
Jeez!. A gameday thread gets 60 plus pages. Thats some good stuff. But I had to go out of town and missed the game. But it was a great day of baseball. Yankee win. Boston loses. 1 game lead in the division after 1 day. Cant get much better then that![]()

I dont mind it thoughOriginally Posted by Octoberbaby
. I'm not use to forums with a gameday section and getting that many posts in a gameday thread. When I'm home I will have to participate in them.
But it sure is cool having a gameday forum. Were tied for the best record in the league so its a great year so far.![]()

I understand it was opening day, but thought the D-Rays looked much improved from previous years. Plus, I know a Kazmir, quality pitcher, was on the mound. Does anyone else see that, too?
