    3/26: Yankees vs. Phillies

    Game Time 1:15PM

    YANKEES
    Damon CF
    Jeter SS
    Abreu RF
    Rodriguez 3B
    Giambi DH
    Matsui LF
    Posada C
    Cano 2B
    Mientkiewicz 1B
    Igawa LHP

    PHILLIES
    Rollins SS
    Werth RF
    Utley 2B
    Howard 1B
    Burrell LF
    Helms 3B
    Rowand CF
    Victorino DH
    Barajas C
    Segovia RHP

Pregame chatter: Andy Pettitte threw 25 pitches in the bullpen and felt no discomfort in his back. Joe Torre will fill us in later but the plan seems to be for Pettitte to throw another bullpen on Wednesday and pitch in a game Friday or Saturday. ... Krazy Kyle Farnsworth, Mike Myers and Brian Bruney are scheduled to follow Igawa to the mound. ... Jorge Posada is back from a brief illness. .... The Yankees signed one-time Mets prospects Aarom Baldiris. He is one of the minor-leaguers in uniform today.

The fact that Bruney is on the schedule to pitch seems to be a good sign for his future in the 'pen.

Igawa has thrown 12 IP and has a 3.00 ERA and 15K's so far. 10 BB's and 10 Hits.

    2-2 to Werth.

    Changeup in the dirt. 3-2.

Changeup barely fouled off. 3-2 again.

    FB down is grounded foul.

NICE changeup at 79 gets Werth looking!

    2 down.

Jeez, strike three on Werth was sick.

Everybody else loving Igawa's hair sticking out of his hat? And with the sunglasses, he looks as cool a cucumber.

    Chase Utley up.

First pitch strike on a FB (91)

    Change misses: 1-1.

no 2-2. (last pitch called strike on a change)

Utley K's swinging on a nice change (again!)

    3 up 3 down.

    Re: 3/26: Yankees vs. Phillies

Igawa throwing almost nothing but FB and Changeups.

    FB inside to Rowand. 1-0.

    FB fouled straight back 1-1.

FB low and in (91). 2-1.

Igawa seems to be overthrowing a touch all of a sudden.

Rowand hits a broken bat one hopeer to Jeter.

    3 outs.

    still 3-0 Yanks.

And now a Phillies RBI single. He's pitching well except he's not finishing innings as well as he could.

Only problem today is he would mess around with 2 outs. Otherwise he seemed very sharp, except occasionally leaving his changeup in the danger zone to righties.
