I don't like this No. 24 on Cano, but I do like that line single he just delivered.

We scored three in the top of the first thanks to a Pratt RBI groundout and a two run IF single by Phelps. Cano, Giambi, and Matsui all had singles.

1-2-3 inning for Pavano, not too shabby although Youkilis' out was smoked.

I can watch both the YES and NESN feed right now on DirectTV - will that stop once the season starts since I'm in the Sox home area or will I still get both feeds?

I like Basak's setup....kind of like Jeff Bagwell - crouches low and has good plate coverage. He took a ball off the plate outside and pulled it.

    -- Jeremiah B., Catawissa, Pa.

I don't want to take anything away from what Basak is doing this spring -- he's played well and already won a Grapefruit League game for the Yankees. Even so, his future best projects as a Major League reserve. Basak has a sizable amount of Minor League experience from the Mets' system and never warranted a call-up. He has played a small amount of third base.
