I'm beginning to ask myself "Why did we sign Igawa?" I think our young guys can match if not be better than the likes of Igawa and Pavano. Just a biased, unsubstantiated opinion.

    1. They knew Carl was gone

    2. They were pretty sure that Phil would be here, but not 100% sure

    3. They figured in this market, that they could trade him for a profit should Phil work out

Fair enough, as he is cheap, but our young ML-ready (Karstens, Rasner, etc.) arms are also cheap. I'm just hoping Igawa erases all questions that I have about him.

As per MLB.com, Pavano's absence has nothing to do with his lawsuit. Just an "unspecified personal issue." He could rejoin the team tomorrow.

For why Karstens started, start at the beginning of this thread. Pavano out for personal reasons...Lou is praying it's a trade. Sam is making us excited...

Thanks. I just woke up not too long ago and finished up w/my emails.

I wish he were traded. Put Karstens or Phil Hughes in his place.

    2-2. Struck out on a not-so-checked swing.

I kinda figured, since everyone knows who Lou is. BTW, I'd edited, so I just "woke" up, not "work" up.

I'm not staying long, but I hope that we can push some more runs over.
