I feel like the team's era this spring is in the low 3's - any way to figure this out?

Gardner flies to the gap in Left Center. Baldelli runs it down. 2 out.

    Gonzalez up.

  6. STEP 1: Add up the total innings pitched. For every out that is recorded while you are pitching, you get one-third of an inning.
  7. STEP 2: Add up the total number of earned runs given up. If there are no errors in the inning, all the runs are earned runs. If there are errors, reconstruct the inning without the errors to see how many runs would have scored if the fielding had been perfect.
  8. STEP 3: Multiply the earned runs by 9.
  9. STEP 4: Divide by the total innings pitched.
  10. STEP 5: Round the number to the second decimal place. For example, 3.2051 is 3.21.

    0-2 to Gonzalez. now 2-2.

3-2 pitch was at his head, apparently. (Miranda on deck)

Ball 4. bases loaded, 2 out.

I'm Korean and I'm not really impressed with his stuffs. He throws 89~91mph range with good changeup and okay breaking stuffs. He got lit up in big leagues as a Cub last year.

The Yankees are now 206-1 when Mariano has been asked to protect a four-run lead.

In the Pavano thread, there's a link to Cashman talking about him being excused. seems like a legit reason.

Farnsworth in. K's Wiggy on 3 pitches.

Mientkiewicz makes a good play (sounds like it at least!) to flip to Farnworth for the 2nd out.

Swing and miss on a slider. end of inning. Nice inning by Farnsworth.

I wish Miranda would have gotten a hit ... I was gonna say "Miranda rules!"

Speaking of pitching stats, here is the list (from ESPN) of the Yankee pitchers who have given up NO earned runs so far:

    Code:
    PLAYER W L S ERA G GS CG SHO IP H R ER
    ------ - - - --- - -- -- --- -- - - --

    T Beam 0 0 0 0.00 1 0 0 0 0.2 1 0 0
    D Rasner 0 0 0 0.00 2 0 0 0 5.0 3 0 0
    S Henn 0 0 0 0.00 2 0 0 0 3.0 0 0 0
    T Clippard 0 0 0 0.00 1 0 0 0 2.0 0 0 0
    R Ohlendorf 0 1 0 0.00 2 0 0 0 4.0 6 3 0
    A Pettitte 0 0 0 0.00 2 2 0 0 5.0 3 0 0
    R Villone 2 0 1 0.00 3 0 0 0 3.0 4 1 0
    K Whelan 0 0 2 0.00 2 0 0 0 1.1 0 0 0
    J Veras 0 0 1 0.00 3 0 0 0 2.1 2 0 0
    J Karstens 1 0 0 0.00 1 0 0 0 2.0 2 0 0
    C Bean 0 0 0 0.00 3 0 0 0 4.0 1 0 0
    M Rivera 0 0 0 0.00 2 0 0 0 2.0 0 0 0
    S Proctor 0 0 0 0.00 3 0 0 0 3.0 2 0 0
ESPN doesn't seem to have the team ERA though.

Good game all the way around:

Patience up and down the system

    Karstens pitches very well.

A-Rod has good AB's and plays the field well.

    And Cairo played Left!
