Having a bunch of my friends over for our New Years Eve traditional party. We were actually invited by one of my friend's guy friends to go to the city, but it's far too expensive, more than one person would have to drive (and one of those people would be me) and it's really not safe to be on the road with all the crazy drunks. Instead, everyone stays in one place, so we can all drink and be safe and have our crazy-weird fun.

Of course, I still have to decorate. And buy the alcohol. And get my outfit ready (we're doing a Las Vegas theme)....

We go to a wild ass party that's about 1/4 mile up the street every year. I'd love to stay home one year but we're expected to go to this party.

The next day a ton of people come to our beach and jump in the freezing cold water at noon. It's funny to watch them all. I take pictures.

Maybe bowling with the kids again like two years ago. A wild night!

Eh, New Year's Eve is just another night, as far as I'm concerned. I have no desire to go out.

A quiet night at home with the hubby.... we'll have hors d'oeuvres and booze but keep it low-key. It's the first time in ages that I won't have had people over. I used to host an all-night party and invite a whole bunch of friends to stay over. We'd always have so much booze left over... My friends were more into watching movies, playing scrabble, and generally socializing rather than getting hammered.

I just got back from the golf driving range and now have the TCM Marx Brothers marathon on TV. I'm such a homebody.... but this is fun!!!!

This is the first year that I will be home for New Year's since the "debacle" of 2000. However, instead of babysitting my old folks like I did in 2000, I will be spending time with my own family. Prospero ano nuevo mes amis!
