    Good.

Let them deal with him and his nonsense.

I understand that he had issues in Toronto but all reports are that he was a good clubhouse guy in Arizona & SF. This is a good signing for the Angels.

He did not have that reputation in Boston from what I've heard. From what I've heard he was a big f'n baby.

He lashed out at Theo when he was traded from the Sox. I'm sure there are other incidents that happened before Toronto.

I always liked Shea when he was with the Sox. He always seemed really friendly with fans, and he worked really hard on the field. He did pull a couple of stupid stunts, but he seemed to honestly regret them and made full public apologies.

Watching some of his bad at-bats was frustrating, but that's true for almost every player. He's an above average player and apparently a nice guy.

With Hillenbrand signed, I guess the Angels won't be trading for Helton anymore.

Just throw him sliders away. He has absolutely no concept on how to lay off that pitch. Just make sure it's in the dirt, as his plate coverage is almost as good as Vlad's.

Geeze, that just got me to thinking...are the Angels in the running for the least amount of walks of all time next year?

Rosenthal didn't mention that this move was percipitated by Juan Rivera breaking his leg in Winter League Ball.

The deal came together quickly over the weekend, after Rivera fractured a bone in his left leg while playing in Venezuela. Rivera is scheduled to have surgery today in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and could sit out several months of the 2007 season

Tough break (so to speak) for Rivera after a semi-breakout season in 2006.

Agreement and harmony between Yankee fans and Red Sox fans, Hillenbrand did serve some purpose.

His reputation with the fans is top notch and appears to have been well earned. I found him to be polite and very friendly when, before a game in '05, he signed my Blue Jays hat. A boy of about 9 years standing next to me was very excited about having gotten his autograph, telling me that Shea was his favorite player back when he was a Red Sock. I like him for that.

I'll admit right now that I've gotten the impression that he might have acted immaturely toward clubhouse personnel and team management.
