SWEET Favrian-like TD pass from Romo to TO! 21-14 Cowboys. Fun game so far.

D'Angelo Hall gets toasted once again
I think anytime you say Favrian-like with regards to Romo.....Nat throws upOriginally Posted by #1PaFan

That was definitely a sweet pass, and a much needed TD to quiet the crowd a little.Originally Posted by #1PaFan

LMFAO!!!! A double fumble! Wow. Some Keystone Kops action there.

Natasha's boy Roy Williams got burned there. He's lucky that Vick reverted back to his erratic self or that would have been six.

Honestly, the kid does remind me of The Kid.

Wow...looks like Atlanta is looking to go into the half content down by 7...strange playcalling from Mora.
"Football doesn't build character. It eliminates the weak ones." -- DKR
It's crazy. I don't see a ton of Falcons games, but everytime I do watch, he's getting beat. A few weeks ago (and I remember someone bringing it up here, i think) he let a new orleans receiver sneak in front of him on a hail mary at the end of the half. He was totally trying to go straight for the pick, instead of knocking it down, and mis-timed his jump.Originally Posted by dabomb2045
Holy sh*t...what a stupid, idiotic penalty. Nothing the Dallas secondary surprises me now.

Agreed. He gets burnt a LOT!Originally Posted by pjfan
Falcons get their 2nd TD called back. Another illegal formation. Good call.

Wow. Nice play by Vick there to not panic. TD pass to Ashley Lelie.
Entertaining game.
Dallas REALLY needs to do some work with their secondary. They look almost as bad as my Pack DBs.
....
If I'm the Atlanta OC, I come out in the second half throwing the ball all over the place. Vick has settled into a rhythm and the Dallas secondary hasn't shown that they can stop anything.

Looks like Deion is taking Vermeil's place in the booth for the second half. This should be interesting...what's the over/under on number of minutes it takes Deion to start comparing himself to the crappy cornerbacks on each team? I give it 5 minutes.

Nice return by Rossum to start the 2nd Half. Atlanta starts at their 45.
....
Man, Vick really is looking decent here now. Of course, the receivers are open practically every play.
....
1st & goal, Falcons from the 7.
....
ANOTHER TD pass to Griffin. There was NOBODY even close to him. Man!
28-21 Atlanta.
....
Now, Austin with a very nice return. Dallas starts at the 45.
....
That's the 3rd time they've run that play and, guess what, all 3 times Griffith has caught a TD pass. This Dallas defense is absolutely horrible, they need to come up with a few stops if they want to win the game.Originally Posted by #1PaFan

That last TD was Roy Williams' fault, from that last replay. Instead of picking up Griffin he went for the (illegal) hit on Crumpler.
....
Typical Roy Williams, more concerned w/ laying a big hit than he is w/ playing pass coverage. He's worthless.Originally Posted by #1PaFan

Another nice 3rd & long pickup by Dallas. Not too much passing D in the game so far. Dallas so far is having trouble running the ball, though.

48 yard FG is good by Gramatica. 28-24 Falcons.
....
Whew...nice FG by Automatica, thought it was going wide there for a second. 28-24 Falcons.

Finally, Dallas held the Falcons...3 and out.

That was good defensive stand by the Cowboys there. Atlanta didn't do crap on that possession.
....
I'm rather attracted to that Vonage girl.![]()
....
That could have been a HUGE Eff-up by there by the Cowboys. If that Falcon defender could have picked that up, it was a TD.
Nice rebound by Romo.
....
NICE run by Barber there. Dallas regains the lead. 31-28.
....
Hall is acting like a Bitch.

I was away from the TV for a few minutes...how long was Barber's run?Originally Posted by #1PaFan

It was only 9 yards, but it was tough yardage. He knocked a few defenders backwards.Originally Posted by Tal Hawkins

Thanks, #1PaFan. I love Barber, wish he was the starter instead of Jones...seems like he's not quite as indecisive as Jones can be at times.Originally Posted by #1PaFan

I'm in the playoffs, and the guy I'm playing has Vick. 4 TD's from Vick. If he is my demise in this round, I'm jumping off a bridge.
Huge stop by the Dallas D. If they can do something with this, Atlanta will be in trouble.
....
Sorry about that, DY24...hopefully Vick will throw a couple of picks before the end of the game and give you a better shot at winning. This is not typical Michael Vick, it's one of the few bright spots in his career.Originally Posted by DaYanks24

My thoughts exactly. But, more importantly, why did Vick throw to Lelie instead of Crumpler and was it really necessary to go for it on 4th down? Dallas hasn't been too consistent, and even if they get a FG, the Falcons can still tie the game with a TD. Bad call by Mora, IMO.Originally Posted by #1PaFan

I have NO idea where Romo was throwing that one. And, then a patented TO drop. Dallas has to punt.........
....
Yeah, they just posted a stat that said T.O. has 15 drops this season (most in the NFL). I knew he had quite a few, but not that many. That's unacceptable for someone that is supposed to have such good hands and be one of the elite receivers in the league.Originally Posted by #1PaFan

McBriar with yet another amazing punt. The guy is probably the best punter in the NFL. Atlanta has to start at the 8.
....
15 drops by Owens. Wow, thats probably around an extra 200 yards and a few TDs he has left on the field.
Dallas would be one game better in the win column, and another step closer to the playoffs, if he hadn't dropped a wide open pass against the Redskins.Originally Posted by DaYanks24

This game is beginning to remind me of that 1980 playoff game between these same two teams I saw today on the NFL channel. Whatta game.
3 4 5 7 8 10 16 37
How ironic that immediately following Deion's mention of the Newman/Crumpler match-up, Vick throws it to Crumpler and Newman breaks up the pass.
