I saw this movie last night and it is a must see. Will Smith did an incredible job (and I'm not a huge Will Smith fan, but I think he should win or at least get nominated for an Oscar. Talk about an inspiring story.

I hear his kid is great in it too. What did you think?
I definitely want to see this movie. I saw the real guy who the story is based on being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. It is a great story to make a movie out of. I also saw Will Smith interviewed on Regis and Kelly and the brought Will Smith's son on. You can tell he is a talented kid.Originally Posted by GoRocket

It certainly looks like a good one.

Thank you for mentioning that, I meant to mention that. He was great in it too. I think it would be hard for anyone's eyes to stay dry watching this movie.Originally Posted by yankeebot

I tried to read the book, but I couldn't get into it -- partly b/c I knew the movie was out and it would be easier just to watch that. So, we'll see it at some point.

I can't wait to see this movie. It looks so good. When Will and his son were on Oprah, they showed multiple clips of it. What a great story, just in time for the holidays!
"Maybe someday you'll be our shortstop and your number will hang out here (in Monument Park),'" recalled Cashman. "He's the only one I ever said that to, and it's actually going to happen."
I saw it last Friday. It was fantastic! Will definitely deserves an Oscar for Best Actor. He was excellent in translating the emotions of the moment to the audience. This is a must-see and must-have for your DVD collection when it comes out.
Now that it is out, how many of you have seen it and what do you think?

I saw it last night. I liked it but I didn't love it. I thought the performances were awesome, both Will and his son, and the premise was inspiring, but the script left out a few important details (that I found out by reading People magazine this morning). All in all, I would still recommend seeing it, but you may want to read some background before going in.

I watched this last night and really enjoyed it

I'm sorry it wasn't up to your standards. Perhaps you need a little more happyness in your life.Originally Posted by Sam18
