    The Pursuit of Happyness

I saw this movie last night and it is a must see. Will Smith did an incredible job (and I'm not a huge Will Smith fan, but I think he should win or at least get nominated for an Oscar. Talk about an inspiring story.

Thank you for mentioning that, I meant to mention that. He was great in it too. I think it would be hard for anyone's eyes to stay dry watching this movie.

I definitely want to see this movie. I saw the real guy who the story is based on being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. It is a great story to make a movie out of. I also saw Will Smith interviewed on Regis and Kelly and the brought Will Smith's son on. You can tell he is a talented kid.

I tried to read the book, but I couldn't get into it -- partly b/c I knew the movie was out and it would be easier just to watch that. So, we'll see it at some point.

So why is it spelt HappYness?

Or is that vital plot information?

he's in his kids classroom and he asks why the kids were allowed to spell happyness wrong when they made a collage on the wall, and the teacher says it doesnt matter how it was spelt, it mattered that the enjoyed working together

I can't wait to see this movie. It looks so good. When Will and his son were on Oprah, they showed multiple clips of it. What a great story, just in time for the holidays!

I saw it last Friday. It was fantastic! Will definitely deserves an Oscar for Best Actor. He was excellent in translating the emotions of the moment to the audience. This is a must-see and must-have for your DVD collection when it comes out.

Now that it is out, how many of you have seen it and what do you think?

I'm sorry it wasn't up to your standards. Perhaps you need a little more happyness in your life.

I saw it last night. I liked it but I didn't love it. I thought the performances were awesome, both Will and his son, and the premise was inspiring, but the script left out a few important details (that I found out by reading People magazine this morning). All in all, I would still recommend seeing it, but you may want to read some background before going in.
