On the first point, aren't all relationships on the soaps doomed anyway? Years ago, they had relationships that lasted. Nowadays they think keeping people away from each other is good for ratings.

On the second point, you said a mouthful! That is exactly the truth. Carly is addicted to whatever gives her life drama! That is what she is all about. She cannot understand nor appreciate the stability of a man like Jax. It is too boring for her. She is not happy without some kind of craziness going on! Sonny and Carly together are a mass of dysfunction and drama which is the only reason TPTB allow it to continue.

I know what you mean about the fleeting nature of these disposable relationships on soaps - especially GH. But I wasn't talking about expecting any relationship to be particularly long lasting as much as Sonny was between Carly and Jax from the very beginning - trying to force Carly to stay married to him, them sleeping together even though she was engaged to Jax. It just seems to me that the Carly/Jax relationship was set up to be less stable than your average couple from the very beginning due to the presence of Sonny. I just couldn't see myself getting invested in Carly and Jax because of that Sonny factor. And Carly has deceived and betrayed Jax from the very beginning and she's doing it again.

So I guess I wonder if such unfavorable and dysfunctional behaviors work against making Carly/Jax a rootable pairing. I guess I'm not making such sense and I should probably be talking Carly/Jax fans to find out the answers to my nebulous, convoluted questions. LOL I just couldn't see myself ever being invested in them as a couple when they have been built on this heavy foundation of deception and betrayal.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am beyond tired of Alexis's whiny, sniveling hypocritical crap. First of all, this whole "Sonny needs to sign over his parental rights so the kids can be safe" thing is ludicrous. Morgan is no more safe today than he was yesterday. This notion is safety is a mere illusion. A myth.

Secondly, Alexis needs to stop with the Sonny is so dangerous nonsense when all she does is screw dangerous men and/or psychos. Mr. Craig is practically her boyfriend, she knows who he is, what he has done and she allows him around Kristina, so she should really STFU.

Thirdly, funny how she's not asking Ric to sign over his rights to Molly. Ric is currently mobbed up and she knows this. But hey, I guess she doesn't care about Molly. I also don't like how she's making it Carly's fault that Sonny won't give into her demands.

Alexis is such a flaming hypocrite. She makes me sick. I love how she vacillates between, "Sonny, you're a lowlife and you're unworthy" and "Sonny, I know you are a loving father." Which is it Alexis? Just shut up with your whiny self. She is such a pain in the ass!

Since when does Mac hate Patrick? Did I miss something? Then again, Mac doesn't need much reason. He has been known to be sanctimonious at the drop of a dime. Now that I think of it, Mac is still on my list for how his punk ass had the nerve to go to the hospital and blame Liz for Lucky having an affair with teenage Maxie. Like it was somehow Liz' fault that historically Lucky can't manage to keep his inadequate penis in his pants and cheated on her repeatedly. I couldn't believe what an irrational ass he was that day. Good thing Liz's emotional boyfriend was there to put him in his place.

And what was up with Maxie? I wanted to smack the hell out of her for being so mean to Spinelli.

OK...I laughed out loud when ClaudiHo tried to give Spinelli a piggback ride. That was just so absurd. I know she's built like a linebacker but damn, what made you think that was a good idea?

And it only took a couple of weeks for Carly to rethink her decision. What a surprise - only NOT! Perhaps she could have considered the ramifications before she took Morgan's daddy away. She may as well change her mind. Her behind is still around the kingpin, Jason, every chance she gets. Stupid. Just stupid.

Yeah, I'm with you. These pathetic unrealistic attempts to redeem Claudia are not working and they are stupid. I don't understand TPTB. They bring people on to be villains and then when they get here and it works, they backpedal from that and try to make them likable. They have ruined most villains like that in recent years. Yes, I'm really not liking Mac's sudden change of heart about Patrick. It was just Thanksgiving that he was inviting him over for dinner and trying to get them back together. Now, Patrick's the devil. That makes no sense at all. Overall, Patrick is a pretty good guy. He has been wonderful with Robin as she's behaved so irrationally towards him. Not many men would still be around trying to love and care for her. If he were the only option for my favorite female character, I wouldn't be that upset about it.

It's clear that they don't really have a story for Patrick and Robin and they feel the need to create all this "fake angst" using sudden hatred by Mac and arguments over stupid blogs.

Can't believe it, GH won for best soap on the Daytime Emmys!! I am happy for them and based on the Metro Court episodes alone I think they deserve it. I really did not expect it since they were dissed for most of the other award nominations. And a big Congrats goes out to Tony Geary for his best actor win!

Now, other than the awards given out it was interesting to find out a few other tidbits of info. Kirsten Storm and Julie Berman are good friends in real life and, Julie is engaged. She seems a lot nicer in real life than her character, Lulu!

The hostage crisis was superb. That was one recent storyline I recalled watching every bit of with no fast forwarding.

That's really weird that they waited a full 25 years to celebrate their 25 year wedding anniversary.

Don't the actors on Soaps have kids on the show and then 2 year later that baby is 6, then 1.5 years after that he's 15 and then a year after that he's getting married and has a kid of his own?

At that rate, Luke and Laura should be celebrating their 105th wedding anniversary.

I understand that. I watch everyday, but I don't pay much attention to 95% of the show.

But to be honest, it's not like I have anything better to do at 3 pm. LOL And the main reason I watch is because I watch with a bunch of people online while it airs. And the jokes we make about the show are much more fun than the storylines. I would miss that if I weren't watching. So essentially, I watch for jokes. Some of my best material comes from GH. LOL

And I also still watch for purely shallow reasons - as long as Jason is on and is still fine, I'mma get my drool on.

This is the same dumbass who plans to raise her baby in a damn closet. STFU, Robin!

Oh and Sonny and Kate couldn't be more boring if they tried. I laughed at that ultra lame "proposal" of his. They won't be getting married anyway though, IMO.

I didn't like Robin using my hero Baby Jake like that either. Robin is being completely unreasonable. I wanted Jake to pop Robin right in her damn eye. Show her those baby Stone Cold fists of fury.

Since they keep wasting my Elizabeth's time by using her to push those two together, I would really love for her to have a scene with Robin telling her what an idiot she thinks she is being. I want her to tell her that she is exasperated with her pushing Patrick away when she has a real chance to raise a family with him when she would give anything for the same opportunity with Jason. Maybe that would knock some sense into Robin's dumbass.

As an aside, I really giggled thru those scenes because Jason Thompson and Kim McCullough had a personal appearance this past weekend where Kim told everyone that Jason had a little crush on Rebecca Herbst. And he said, "No, that's not true. I have a BIG crush Becky. I'll go to her and whine when I'm not feeling well and she'll take care of me." And Kim was like "everyone has a crush on Becky. She takes care of all of us." I thought that was so cute. And it made me giggle to think he was checking Becky out during those scenes. LOL

I agree with Kim. I have a crush on Becky too, so the story made me smile. She does sound really nurturing and maternal. I know she takes care of Steve too. There have been times when she's made phone calls to fans on behalf of both of them and they ask about Steve Burton and she's like, "Oh he's fine, but he's a little under the weather so I made him lie on my couch and take a nap."

Loved the look on Sonny's face when he found out that Carly could be pregnant. HA! Let the games begin!

I LMAO when I heard Sonny & Kate planning their November wedding. I just don't see it happening. So these grandiose planss make me chuckle. If I were a betting woman, I'd say Sonny's former BFF Jason will have a nice Novemeber sweeps wedding. That's what I predicted in August of 2007 and I'm sticking to it. Elizabeth will be the 3rd and final Mrs. Morgan then. Sonny and Kate, not so much.

Jason and Spinelli were a total "Awwwww" moment. It was nice to see the old Spinelli again. He had been annoying me too frequently lately.

I really LMAO when I noticed that Claudia did not open her mouth one more time after Epiphany told her rank behind off. Even Claudia's dumb *ss knew better than to speak. LOL

Robin can die anytime now. She is on my last nerve right now. She has garnered so much support for Patrick these days. LOL

Of course, being the total fan gurl that I am, I barely noticed that other people were even on yesterday's show. My favorite moments were Jason & Elizabeth's brief scenes.

Loved how affected Jason was by the mere sight of her. She took his breath away. He completely lost his train of thought when he looked into her eyes and began to stutter. He was just completely taken aback. That was nicely played.

Loved how stricken Elizabeth was by the knowledge that he had been sick. How her heart ached for him. How she wanted to soothe him. How she caressed him lovingly. I think the hardest part of not being with Jason for her is not the missing him as much as it is the knowledge that she can't take care of him when he needs it and that he is essentially alone. That KILLS her. At least she has the boys. He doesn't even have that.

Loved how intently they both stared at one another.

Loved how Jason's eyes and voice were both thick with emotion as he declared he'd rather be alone if he couldn't be with her – the ONE person he wants to be with. I love when they have Jason admit things that I suspect are true but you never expect him to say. Although he pretty much told Carly the same thing last year. If he can't have Elizabeth to come home to, he'd rather be alone for the rest of his life. That's deep. He KILLED me when he said he'd rather be alone with his eyes all watery.

Those two are just so wonderful together. They are simply the embodiment of love.

Having the baby be Jax's would be boring and anti-climatic. The wedding is set for November. In soapland if the wedding is set that far in advance, you know it isn't going to happen. Well I expect this story to simmer and build until then and all of a sudden as the last minute preparations are under way, Either Kate or Jax finds out the baby is Sonny's and all hell breaks loose. Jax leaves Carly and Kate leaves Sonny and guess what? Sonny/Carly #5 is upon us and Jax and Kate consol their sorrows together.
