They should run some of the old episodes, like the way YES shows the "classic games". I'd like to see some old episodes from All My Children. My daughter, who watches it, would get a real kick out that.
I watched the GH reruns yesterday, fastforwarding thru. It was funny to see all the characters. Wow, it sure looked dated!!!

Yes, Laura looked great back then. But she was also very young. She said in an interview, at the time of the wedding, she was only 19!!

I'm not so sure about that. If you watch GH on a daily basis the hair and make-up, not to mention the clothes (Carly's especially), can be pretty scary at times.On a different note...It's funny, soap opera make-up artists have gotten a lot better over the last 25 years.
I loved Frisco and Felicia but Felicia really started to bug me the last few years that Kristina Wagner was on GH.
I would love to see a bunch more old episodes.Many clips of old GH episodes are available on various GH fan websites if you do a search. They probably won't have full episodes in one clip but you could probably piece them together.
I had some old video tapes of GH episodes with Frisco and Felicia and Tony and Tonya but I threw them out last year when I moved.

I was also a big fan of Jax and Brenda. I lost interest in Sonny a long time ago and was happy when she got together with Jax. They were great. Unfortunately, Jax has been deballed and is paired with the wildebeest, Carly.

It probably won't end until Carly ends up in bed with Sonny (eww). Jax will be leaving Port Charles for a while when Ingo goes on vacation so Carly will have to keep busy doing something (or someone). As long as the skank stays away from Patrick I can deal with just ignoring her.
Jax isn't related to anyone in Port Charles. He has a mother, Jane, who lives in Australia and a brother, Jerry, who is in hiding somewhere offscreen. I really liked Jerry when he was on the show but either the actor left or the character got written off.
These days, this show is no fun to watch unless you're a fan of Sonny, Jason, Carly and Sam, and now the previously backburnered Elizabeth (I'm tired of all of them now). The only characters I like, namely Robin and Patrick, are never on so I pretty much skip the show everyday unless I'm watching their allotted 30 second scenes once or twice a week (yeah, I'm bitter). I just hate the fact that a show that I used to love and have been watching since 1979 blows chunks right now.
I used to love Jagger. And Stone, Robin's boyfriend who died of Aids. Anyone remember him? He was adorable.

Robin and Stone were great. SPOILER: The anniversary of his death is coming up this week and there will be some scenes of Robin on her and Stone's bridge where she remembers him. Sonny also remembers that Robin exists and shares a scene or two with her re: this.

I like Kin Shriner and his portrayal of Scotty but the writers have proven time after time that they don't know how to write for returning veterans on this show (or every other character for that matter). GH needs an overhaul from the top down to the writers in order to climb out of the gutter. They screwed up Anna Devane's return and the way they're treating Tristan Rogers/Robert Scorpio is a shame. I think they're trying to teach Tristan a lesson because he's outspoken on his website about the crappy writers and producers at GH.

Scotty Baldwin is showing up back in Port Charles (using a different name) on this afternoon's show. I saw it in the coming attractions yesterday. I got re-hooked on this show, despite my best efforts to the contrary, when Laura came back. Now I am hoping they bring Laura back too. Scott Baldwin is back for some sinister reason.

It is Scotty but the coming attractions yesterday showed him checking into a hotel using another name. The coming attractions also showed him going into Laura's room at the home where she is at and saying "Hi Laura". I think he is the one who murdered Rick Weber instead of Laura. I have a feeling Laura will be coming back too now.
Like Genie Francis in November, Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) is only back short term. But I hear GF may return as Laura long term later this year.

Years ago I used to watch about 4 or 5 in a row and this is before VCRs. It was As the World Turns, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital, can't remember the other. I realized after a couple of years of doing this that I had no life so I gave them up. I swore I'd never get hooked again. Somehow I got back to watching General Hospital and, now that there is SoapNet, I don't have to give up my life so it's all good. It is OK to have one mindless pleasure in life!

Since there is no baseball and my Sunday's are usually my day to do nothing, I have been enjoying the General Hospital marathons, the past couple of months. This new Metro Court hostage storyline is very good.
Yes, Love of Life, how could I forget. I used to watch that one, not Edge of Night. It was Secret Storm and Love of Life then As the World Turns, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital.
These days one soap is enough for me. I am really enjoying the Metro Court hostage crisis on General Hospital. What with SoapNet it is not like the old days where you have to sit home all day. Now you can catch it at night or on the weekend and not have to stop living.
I think Alan Quartermaine is going to die as a result of this hostage situation. I think he is leaving the show. Shame. He's been on that show a long long time!
His last day of taping was Feb. 2. He's gone.

Well, he didn't die yet on the show. He was on yesterday and has yet to die, maybe today he will. I heard he was leaving and he has become a little ineffectual on the show but he is an oldtimer and they should have kept him for that reason.
