Who's coming up? Who's going down? What's happening with the Yankees Minor League clubs?
We've been getting by for a long time now with requiring links to the original when posting the full text of an article from another web site. However, those days are over effective immediately. If you would like to post an article, please be aware of the following guidelines. The only things permitted in your post are: A) The title B) The link to the article
I think he deserves his own thread. Post daily stats, season stats, scouting reports, any story’s, clips, pictures, quotes and just everything about him in this thread. PP said he was the most impressive hitter at minor league camp. They also said he has great plate display and his bat is advance for such a young age, but most of us already knew that. I feel that he has an shot at becoming the top prospect in the organization after the season is done imo. Scouting reposts/Profiles/News...
Right off the bat there are the two Cubans, and W+C=F just brought up a 16 year old bumping 93 with two breaking pitches and clean mechanincs (De Paula). Figured to just start anew here instead of continuing the 2008 version of this thread.
I couldn't find a thread for talking about another team's prospects. I didn't want to put this in the All purpose thread because that is for the Yankees. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/news/262103.html I'll take this guy. Maybe we can work out a deal. :D Sometimes a change of scenary is good for a player.

An interesting new concept and one that is past due but do you guys think it will help or hurt the Yankees? Dominican Prospect League winds down Several months ago, La Esquina profiled the start of the Dominican Prospect League, a brainchild of agents Brian Mejia, Ulises Cabrera and Roberto Morales where unsigned teenage Dominican prospects could participate in a league designed to show off their talents to MLB team scouts. The aim was to erase the perception that Dominican prospects...
Hopefully this month will showcase Tabata's power and Chamberlain's dominance. Go to it
Here are some fresh names to talk about leading up the the July 2nd signing period: Inoa, a 6-foot-7, 200-pound righty, creates easy velocity through relatively sound mechanics. At the workout, Inoa consistently sat at 91-92 mph with his fastball, topping out at 94. He also throws a softer breaking ball which was inconsistent at times, and will also show a splitter. Inoa turns 16 in September, so he won’t be eligible to sign until his birthday. In the two innings he worked, just...

The offseason is here, but that doesn't mean that prospect talk has to end. There's the instructional leagues, the AFL, the winter leagues (where Tabata will play) and then the off-season for baseball where prospects might be lost or acquired and the Rule 4 draft. Also, that damn BA popup was annoying the heck out of me.
In the past I believe we've kept the signing news to one thread and updated the list by bolding the players that have signed. Please post links to articles online announcing signings. I ask that you please refrain from posting that you've "heard" so-and-so signed. I'd like to keep this as accurate as possible. BOLD = SIGNED BOLD = PLAYING IN CAPE COD BOLD = PLAYING IN NORTHWOODS LEAGUE BOLD = PLAYING IN ALASKA BASEBALL LEAGUE
i know how ridiculously early this is, as we havent even had a business day since the draft ended. i figured i would start this since the college WS is rolling along and there is a ton of top talent playing good teams. i just made a top 10 1 Steven Strasburg-RHP-SDST 2 Mychal Givens-SS-HS FL
AUSTIN, Texas — No surprise Saturday to see Roger Clemens on the Texas sideline. Joba Chamberlain? Now that's a different story. The former All-America pitcher at Nebraska stood with his New York Yankees teammates on the UT sideline in the first half with Clemens' two youngest boys, Kody, 13, and Kacy, 11. Clemens, who pitched for the Longhorns in 1982 and 1983, wore a burnt orange shirt and UT visor with his baseball number from college, 21, stitched into the side. Chamberlain,...

Last full month of the minor league season.
Short season month!
Because it's not September anymore.
We probably should have one thread with a list of the Yankees draftees who are signed to contracts by the Yankees. I'll start with the news below.
The right handed high school pitcher Manny Barreda has signed a contract with the Yankees. Below is an article about him. http://www.gvnews.com/articles/2007/06/09/sports/sports02.txt
Below is the link to an article on Yankees draftee, the college outfielder Dave Williams of Rutgers University, who the Yankees will sign today....
