Who's coming up? Who's going down? What's happening with the Yankees Minor League clubs?

I was going through some of my Army stuff. While I was in there was a single A team in the town who played the Yankees Greensboro team. I was always by far the loudest dude in the park when the Bats came in (louder than any ten others). Anyway, I'm going through a box of stuff and I come across two baseballs with Nick Johnson, D'angelo Jimenez, Domingo Jean and a few others that I'm trying to figure out. Has the SI Yankees season started?

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/11/02/billjames.rankings/index.html Apparently the Yankees only have 3 players under 29 who have any statistical value
In light of his mysterious absense, a thought occured to me just now. With all of the big arms that are either coming into our system or are already here, as well as the inevitable free agent signings in the next few years (Matsuzaka when he becomes available, Santana?, Sheets?), why not convert him to a closer? Papelbon is an example of a player who was planned to be a starter taking over the closer's role. Now it appears Boston likes him there so much that they are trying to convert...
Starters: 1)Henn 2)DeSalvo 3)Ramirez 4)Graman 5)Halsey Big gap 6)Wang 7)Gomez 8)Clippard

One of my co workers at PinstripesPlus spoke with Lin Garrett last week and said Hoover would move into the rotation. Well, he was right. He is getting the start tonight. I saw it on Sportsnetwork.com. It had the probables for the game. Good Luck Jesse!!
(AA) Thunder Catcher Jesus Montero and (A) RiverDogs Pitcher Manny Banuelos will represent the yankees in the 2009 XM all star futures game and will represent the World team....no yankees on the US roster
www.rotoworld.com/display2.asp?sport=MLB&page=column&column=14 Dioneer Nivarrio ranked #89 no other current Yankees in top 150 Brandom Claussen ranked #39
Anybody catch the Clippers game tonight on YES?! I have it on and I think the CLIPPERS were not playing as well as Scranton! In fact they made Scranton Look Great. :( The Yankees Closing Pitcher sorry I forgot his name was throwing pitches out towards first base! WELL BETTER GAME TOMORROW CLIPPERS! I swear the announcers mentioned we traded for Toronto Mondesi  ? :D
Rnd Pk Overall Player Position 12 27 364 Brad Blackwell rhp 15 27 454 Elvys Quezada rhp Both were college seniors.
TAMPA (FSL) OF TORRE TYSON lengthened his hitting streak to 18 games in the Yankees' 3-2 triumph at Charlotte in 12 innings. Tyson singled, moved to second a balk and stole third base in the first inning. Overall, the Missouri product went 1-for-5 with a strikeout. 2B SAM BOZANICH doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of the 12th inning and finished with a pair of doubles and a run scored for the victors.
With Montero set to start and batting 5th for the World team, and with Banuelos as a possible reliever for the same team, I thought a thread talking about their performances and prospects for the future would be a good idea.
Just read a quote from Wagners mom who said her son is planning on playing one season at IRCC and then after sign with the Yankee's.Thats good news.Wagner is a 6-5 lefty who throws in the 80's but will most likely add velocity with age.A sure D&F for May.

I'd be very happy if the Yanks came up with the following with their 4 early picks: #23 rhp Phil Hughes or rhp Jay Rainville #37 lhp Taylor Tankersley #41 rhp Brett Smith #42 of Jeff Frazier
Now that Zeile is gone and Hitch was traded we have two openings. Baring a trade who should get them. I am thinking Seguignol is a definite and the other could go to either Proctor or maybe Bobby Smith for infield depth. Thoughts?

This year's club does not include any repeat performers from last season's team and just one member of the 2002 All-Teen...
What started out as a draft with the potential to be a true "F," with a large number of high pick wash-outs has recently begun to stir again. There is some promise, but this one could be upgraded quickly. Without 1st and 3rd rounders, the Yanks top 2 picks were RHP Brandon Wheeden and RHP Alan Bomer. Wheeden did turn into Brown, but he is still raw, raw, raw. Bomer has never pitched again, and was released this spring. OF Matt Carson was next. He stuggled mightly for the first 2...
Minor League Notebook- Yankee HS Drafts -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anup Sinha TeamOneBaseball.com Staff While a lot was made by the media about how more teams would draft collegians early, the Yankees went the other way last June. After years of college-oriented drafts, Scouting Director Lin Garrett switched gears in 2003 and took three high school players in the first three rounds (1st-round 3B Eric Duncan, 2nd-round OF Tim Battle,...
I was looking at the scouting videos for last year's draft class. Felt a little nostalgia. Tim Battle video is fun to watch. He is having so much fun playing the game. Other picks (Duncan, Harris) are here as well. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/draftday/search.jsp?sc=team&sp=nya

Can anyone provide any info on the top talent for next years amateur draft. I've seen Niemann of Rice pitch and he seems like he will go top 5. JD Drew's brother, Stephen, is probably the top hitter in the draft. And Jeff Weaver's brother, Jared, has a 95 mph fastball.
The Yankees participating are pitchers Sean Henn, Ben Julianel, and Javier Ortiz, infielders Mitch Jones and Bronson Sardinha, and outfielder Kevin Thompson. They are all playing for the Grand Canyon Rafters. You can see complete rosters here: http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/leagues/winter/04afl.html
