Yes, that's what I wrote. The NITTANY LIONS are on a bye week so they are not playing on saturday. So far this season I have to give the
defensive unit a strong B+ grade. The offense has been, well, offensive.
They have really not played well at all, and when they did, it was just in spurts. I have to blame the OL for this. It is very popular in Happy Valley to to put all the guilt on senior QB Zack Mills. While Zack is hardly an all-american candidate he is a serviceable player. He...

Strahan's 7-year extension guarantees $20 million
ESPN.com news services
Boy oh boy, they came out flat as a pancake, 7-0 before ESPN even got there (Independance Bowl took forever), 14-0 before they could say hello, and turn your sets off there. Another ugly bowl loss for my Irish, not only do they seem to lose bowl games every year, they really tank in 'em. :(
I wonder, as weird as it sounds, if the players wanted an ugly loss, sort of to show the University up for firing Ty, many of the players were really pissed when that was announced. :dunno:

PRESS RELEASE November 5, 2003
“IRON MIKE: THE BOXING MUSICAL”
The first ever boxing musical highlights the life and career of Mike Tyson. It is staged entirely in the ring.
For 12 powerful rounds it delivers knockout punches of boxing, dancing and music, blending hip-hop, pop, rock and classic Broadway.
What is Mike Tyson doin' these days? I have no idea.
I've always wondered whether or not other sports had their own "sabermetrics." It will be interesting if you start to see this grow like it has in baseball.
BTW, anything that says Kirilenko is the 4th best player in the NBA is fine by me. ;)
The above link is Beech'es website. I haven't really checked it out yet, but I thought I would give it as well.

Did any of you see Stephon Marbury's emotional speech for Hurricane Relief.
The NBA and WNBA players are starting "Operation Rebound" to aid in the relief effort.
"After months of speculation about its future, ESPN's originally scripted series about a fictional professional football team will not return, a company official said Wednesday. One of the main reasons for cutting the series after the first season was the reaction from the NFL brass."
Personally, Im glad the show was cancelled.....first, it was not a very good show, second.......very unrealistic. I think they tried to push way too many...
Well I don't know if it's factual to call this team a "dream team." They're playing with no heart and look putrid. Of course the officiating has been god awful. It's tough to win when it's obvious the refs want you to lose.
It is a sports fantasy show on ZoogDisney!
Has anybody heard of it!
It is really kewl and I like to watch it!
Fascinating article, incredible story.
Just in case you missed Wellington Mara's priceless comments on his much-maligned New York Giants after they emerged victorious in the NFC Championship game.
Is anyone else watching this documentary on Sebastian Telfair? It's really good. Better then I thought it would be. I'm not really a big NBA fan, and I don't like HS kids going to the NBA, but this movie shows how an entire neighborhood and school almost depend on the talent and chance of one outstanding young man. I didn't like Telfair's decision to go to the NBA (I think the college game is more exciting and entertaining and I dislike it's talent being taken by the NBA), but I understand...
Not like you guys really care... sheesh, it's Ivy league sports for crying out loud, so who really cares? But Columbia beat both Princeton and UPenn in men's basketball this weekend, and they haven't done that since 1986!!! A happy day to show my Lion pride!!!!!:D:D:D:D
(This'll probably be the only time you'll see "Columbia" and "win" used in the same sentence without a negative of any kind...;), so I'm milking the opportunity....)
These are the top 10 according to ESPN. Any comments or additions?
Here's how Page 2 editors ranked the worst moves of 2001:
1. Bud Selig announces plans to contract two teams just days after end of World Series
2. XFL is launched
3. George O'Leary embellishes his résumé and forgets to mention it to Notre Dame
4. For second time in less than two months, Nate Newton gets caught with large amount of marijuana
5. Randy Moss says he only plays hard when he "feels like it"
Just got back from the Pacquiao/Cotto fight and the fight program had this full page ad..... :D
And the first thing I thought was, the winner of this fight is fighting in Yankee Stadium!
This NYT article only confirms my suspcions...
Nerves are already shot to hell.
I'm praying for a great day for the Rangers today. *crosses fingers*
What do you think, Natalie and others? (Terry Glenn and Keyshawn together? A couple of model teammates there....)
'Night Train' Lane dead at 73
Jan 30, 2002 4:41 PM (EST)
By JIM VERTUNO
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Dick "Night Train" Lane hounded wide receivers with his ferocious tackles and quarterbacks with his interceptions.
An undrafted free agent who would become one of the greatest defensive backs in NFL history during his 14-year career, Lane died Tuesday night after a heart attack at the assisted living facility where he lived. He was 73.
Arizona totally dominated, especially the 2nd half! Go Cats!
Not to celebrate prematurely (as a Sox fan would;)) -- there's still much more hockey to play before the season's out -- but with yesterday's victory over Carolina, the Flyers have now tied the Rangers for first in the Atlantic Division (3rd in the conference), with 50 points... and five less games played!!!
All I have to say is I predicted the Rangers (and the Isles, for that matter) would hit some major speed bumps come January; feel kinda bad for Lindros that he missed a few days with yet...
With the season approaching, hopefully the Nets can make another run at the east. There aren't too many more years left of J-Kidd, so it better get done soon.
Article in the NY Post Today:
Quite a battle their staging over there in the NHL Southeast Division. With a 3-8-4 record and currently ranked 22nd overall, Washington is in first place in this division with 11 points and would automatically qualify for a playoff spot under the current NHL Playoff system! Try selling that to the good folks in Texas where the Dallas Stars are three games over .500, rank 11th overall and are in last place in the Pacific Division. The Stars would be out of the playoff picture all together! ...
