Yes, there are sports besides baseball. No, really!Sub Forum: NFL Board
I guess you should discuss football in here.
Interesting Football News...

It has only been a few hours since LSU beat Ohio State to cap off probably the most bizarre season of college football ever.
Even though the 2008 season is nine months away, Socal Pinstriper asked someone in the 2007 thread to start one for 08 so here it is.
National Signing day is a month away and 3 of the top 4 guys on Rivals top 100 have not made a decision yet.
Some sites have already taken a stab at the...
Seeing how Wrestlemania 21 was almost a year ago....I figured its time to start an actual wrestling thread.
Have at it.
It would be nice for the Huskies to make a bowl next year, but I can't see it happening. I'd take four wins at this point to be honest (although I'd be okay with only two if they were against LSU and WSU).
SI's very early pre-season Top 10:
Ok my fellow football/soccer fans,
You want to talk about the World Cup?
You got it right here in this thread.
From the qualifying matches in UEFA (Europe), AFC (Asian), CONCACAF (North and Central America), CONMEBOL (South America), CAF (Africa), and OFC (Oceania) in 2007 to the final whistle on July 11, 2010, you can cover the 2010 FIFA World Cup right here.
With the Blueshirts signing both Chris Drury and Scott Gomez on the same day, I thought it was fitting to start a new Rangers thread. While I am still adjusting to the fact that these two guys will be playing for us next year, I will be very excited to say "Let's Go Rangers!"
dabomb, consider it done. Let's Go Rangers!!!! :D
We didn't have one of these threads already? The NFL 2007 season threads went up a few weeks after the Super Bowl ended, so by that standard, this thread is really late. Then again, last year's NCAA FB thread started in August, which makes this too early. Oh well. :)
Let's kick it off with an interesting piece of news from the SEC:
Schedules are posted here:
How will the defending champions...
Okay hockey fans,
Please post everything hockey right here in this brand new NHL thread for the 2009-10 season.
Yes including offseason news and Jacques (aka Montrealer) and the other pundits covering the draft.
Also, regular season coverage including standing updates and Winter Classics. And put all Stanley Cup postseason posts here and NHL awards for the 2009-10 season.
As for the Olympic Tournament, I'll post a separate thread when the Olympics approach.
Ok my fellow college pigskin pundits,
Wanna talk smack about the 2006 Regular Season?
Well, you can talk a lot in this thread. From Week 1 to Week 15, you can talk about college football.
Out from one of the worst cap situations the league has ever seen.
Onward and upward!
Ok hockey fans,
Please post all offseason news right here in this brand new NHL thread for the 2008-09 season.
Yes, including FA signings, trades, NHL draft.
If you're a huge mixed martial arts fan in the UFC, Pride FC, or other MMA competitions, you can discuss MMA here in this thread.
For UFC fans, you can catch UFC action and shows on Spike TV. For Pride FC fans, you can watch PRIDE on your cable box only on Fox Sports Net, or simply FSN.
I'm a huge fan of both UFC and PRIDE. :2thumbs: :)
Since we are talking about next season already in the current thread, why not start a new thread. Now talks among yourselves. Let's Go Rangers!
Ok football/soccer fans (sorry Boogie for starting the thread),
Time for a brand new season in the Barclay's English Premier League.
The EPL fixtures will be shown on June 16.
It should be a very interesting offseason for the Blueshirts. First they lucked out with the retirement of Markus Naslund, and then there's the rumor of Zherdev heading to Russia. They still have 12 roster spots to fill for the big club next year.
Let's go Rangers!
Let the trash talk commence on the most popular sporting event in the world: The World Cup.
It's finally here football/soccer fans and pundits.
After not much talk about the outer levels of English football and all talk shop about the Premiership, I officially launched the English Club Football thread that covers all four levels of English football.
That's right, all four: the English Premier League and all three levels of the Coca-Cola Football League: Championship, League One, and League Two.
Of course, you can post and follow the FA Cup and League Cup.
A new season, a new thread. Let's go Rangers!!!!
Welcome to another season of the greatest footie league in the world! Here are the fixtures for the upcoming campaign.
In past years, a lot of football/soccer fans wanted to find threads that talk about European Club football besides the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League because the EPL was discussed more frequently.
Well, we all finally have a thread that can cover all the major European leagues and their domestic cups including Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A, the Scottish Premier League, the German Bundesliga, and France's Ligue 1.
The European Club Football Thread takes care of that...
With Isiah finally out I thought we should make a new thread to celebrate new era.
With Isiah gone the road back to a quality term should be fast-tracked.
Let's Go Knicks! :D
Starting this early because there have already been a slew of controversies. First and foremost about China and the way they treat Tibetans. There were protests at the torch lighting, which China promptly blamed on Tibet. Now some nations (France) are threatening to boycott the opening ceremony and maybe the games. Also, there is some concern about the level of pollution in Beijing that may effect the outdoor events. Sounds like a great place!
I think that the Olympics are a great...
I didn't see a new thread, so I made one (surprise, surprise, eh?).
Sporting News' Early Top 10 (#9 in the nation! :D)
I think there's enough interest for this tournament to have it's own thread.
Team Canada was just announced at noon.
* Martin Brodeur, New Jersey Devils
* Marc-Andre Fleury, Pittsburgh Penguins
* Roberto Luongo, Vancouver Canucks
Since the World Cup thread went so well. I thought I'd make another cricket thread. I know Nash, Ajra and Gdn are fans. Humph and Blokee are you also fans?
Anyway I'll start it off with I saw in the paper a few days ago. It's a bit insane, but I'll post it anway.
He must be bored with retirement already.
