  4. Being a Giants fan. I'm doubly happy right now, to be a Yankees fan.

Getting deep into the playoffs, the Yanks team has saved my sanity because the Giants are killing me. Thank you Yankees. You don't know how you've saved my life the last couple of weeks.

  6. College Football...wow, what a Saturday!

So now the picture clears up a little bit more. Oklahoma...well, I'm not sure ANYBODY can beat this Oklahoma team, considering the whooping that Texas A&M got today, whoa...but now with three of the teams with one loss just took themselves out of the running...FSU... Miami :D ...Virginia Tech...only LSU, OSU, and USC are left with one loss. So who's got the best chance? I have no clue what's happening with LSU, so I can't comment on that, but we play OSU (of course) two weeks from now, and...

  9. Sweater or Jersey?????

OK hockey fans, I've got a serious pet peve. I've always thought that hockey players wore "sweaters" but more often than not, you hear them referred to as jerseys. Is a sweater more old school or is there actually a difference?

  10. Rangers first win!

Entertaining game tonight. 129 penalty minutes handed out. Lindros hurt his shoulder which pretty much sucks. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=231020013 NEW YORK (AP) -- The Rangers' recipe for victory was simple and unorthodox. Most of all, it was effective. Eric Lindros scored with a knuckling shot before being injured and Tom Poti added a goal with New York played short-handed when it didn't have to in a 3-1 victory Monday night over the slumping Florida Panthers.

  12. Kobe cheered by thousands in first exhibition game!

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Kobe Bryant, welcomed by a thunderous roar when he was introduced, played last night for the first time since being charged in July with sexual assault. Bryant joined Shaquille O'Neal and two celebrated new teammates - Karl Malone and Gary Payton - for the Los Angeles Lakers' exhibition game against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Pond. To chants of "Ko-be! Ko-be!" Bryant pulled up and made a jumper a minute and a half after the opening tipoff. ...

  13. Eagles Fans

Is it just me or do these fans go a tad overboard with the booing? These fans are completely boo crazy. I watched a lot of the Eagles/Jets game yesterday and the fans were booing after almost every single play. It got so bad that Phil Simms even had to comment how inappropriate it was for fans to be booing that much in a game where the Eagles were only trailing by a field goal. I know it can be frustrating but I highly doubt that's the kind of support the team's looking for.

Are there any self-proclaimed BCS experts out there? I'm curious how the USC Trojans ended up at #7??? I'm sitting here looking at the numbers in the USA Today and it just doesn't make sense to me. It seems like a couple of the lower polls really scew the numbers. And what is the "Schedule rank" number equate to??? :enraged:

  23. Watch Kobe's Defense Team Go Into Spin Mode Now!

Anybody catch any of the stuff that came out of Bryant's preliminary hearing yesterday? Not good. Several points made by the lead investigator. Allegations include: 1. Accuser wanted to meet Kobe. 2. Gave him a tour of the hotel/grounds 3. Went to his room at his request 4. Got into some flirting/kissing. 5. When Kobe wanted more she told him no. 6. Asked to see some tattoos she had on her back 7. When she turned he lifted up her skirt 8. Put his hands around her throat and...
