Holy sh*t! Wish I could have caught this one... 5 brawls in a row all in the final 2 minutes of play. 419 PIM sets the NHL record for a single game. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=240305015  Clarke is such an idiot
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=1750078 This will heat up those San Diego/Arizona draft day trade rumors.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1756946 4 years, $16M--very reasonable. Picking Eb in the first round in '99 is officially a bust (not that that wasn't already pretty evident). 13 sacks in 5 seasons. My eyes got a little teary when I read he'd already signed with Cleveland... don't know why. Just had a lot of athleticism that never translated into him becoming the "speed rusher" he was supposed to have been, plus my brother and I liked being him in Madden 2001 for some...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1751956 &po'd& THIS is why the Clarett ruling is stupid. But again, I'm not worried, because the NFL is good at natually weeding out inferior talents, whether they go undrafted or are drafted and then cut, especially since contracts are not guaranteed. My guess is that none of these guys will be drafted.
Wow, Brian Leetch (sorry Rangers Fans), and Ron Francis omg, and we didn't have to give up either of our top prospects (Colaivaco, or Stajan), i am so impressed with Ferguson (1st year as GM). Go Leafs, now if it could only be the Rangers joining them in the playoffs instead of the Bruins, life would be even better. Does anyone else think that a Leaf-Red Wing Cup would be awesome? I think all original 6 teams should get an automatic playoff birth, down with expansion!
With March Madness upon us lets see everybody's Final Four picks: Providence (My suprise pick) Kentucky Duke North Carolina (As much as I hate the Heels they definetly have the starting five to make a run.)
I just listened to Clement's comments on the whole Bertuzzi incident and he had some good ideas. He said that since fighting has decreased since the 70's it actually promotes more violent acts. The reason people didn't go gunning for the best players (which Naslund is for Vancouver) is because you knew there was a guy on that team who is there to basically make sure that there will be retaliation. Gretzky and Lemiux weren't targets for checks because of these enforcers who would go and fight...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1755323 5 years, $14M (including a decreased base salary in the 5th year)?! I find this ironic and pretty funny, considering he held out all of training camp last season. Losing his starting job as a result of that, not to mention that he's one of the most overrated backs out there right now, really hurt him I guess. Charlie Garner, who signed with the Bucs today, is also only getting $20M for 6 years though. Seems...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1754514 Likely marking an end to the Tim Couch Era after only five seasons, the Cleveland Browns have reached an agreement in principle with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia. Garcia, 34, will sign a four-year contract worth $25 million, ESPN.com reported Monday night. The team officially confirmed the deal Tuesday morning and said it was making plans for a news conference. The stunning move came...
http://www.newsday.com/sports/football/ny-spgiants0309,0,5402794.story?coll=ny-football-headlines Giants sign LB Green BY NEIL BEST STAFF WRITER March 8, 2004, 5:54 PM EST The Giants signed free agent linebacker Barrett Green to a five-year contract Monday, making him the favorite to fill the starting weak side job manned for the past two years by Dhani Jones.
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=/nfl/news/ABN3096251.htm Dhani Jones joins the Eagles Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Eagles inked former New York Giants free agent linebacker Dhani Jones to a five-year contract on Tuesday, just three days after losing free agent linebacker Carlos Emmons to the Giants. After sitting out his rookie season with a knee injury, the 2000 sixth-round pick out of Michigan has started 30 games over the past...
Shoulda started this earlier but oh well. WFAN just announced Greg de Vries to the Senators. I'm expecting Kolzig to be moved soon. Deadline is 3 pm
http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=334&storyID=2037 This was nearly a week ago, but I didn't find out until getting my Broncos newsletter. I also don't know of any Broncos fans around here other than myself, so this is more in tribute to one of the true warriors of the game than informing y'all of something that impacts you personally. Once again, concussions have ended the career of one of my favorite players. I won't forget the tiny set of pads he wore--he wasn't the fastest...
... even if it's for an upgrade. Sorry, Rangers fans, I couldn't resist.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=1754903 Not like it's going to make a difference at this point but it would be nice to see my favorite player retire in blue.
whoops nm
http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=1749452 The New York Rangers traded right wing Alex Kovalev to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night for forward prospect Josef Balej and a second-round pick in this year's draft. This could be the first of many deals for Sather. His underachieving team is still filled with expensive chips -- such as defenseman Brian Leetch and forwards Eric Lindros and Petr Nedved -- that could be attractive for playoff teams. --- Riiiight...because...
I didn't but I just saw the highlights and UNBELIEVABLE! Washington state got a 5 second violation for not inbounding the ball with 17.4 seconds left leading by 1. So Stanford gets the ball back and after the ball bounces everywhere, they get the ball and hit the 3 at the buzzer to win. There is somethign to this team and it is amazing.
http://www.foxsports.com/content/view?contentId=2203694 Looks like Owens & his agent are going to file a grievence against the 49ers due to the fact that Owens had agreed on details of a contract with the Eagles and was ready to go to Philly. Much to Owens disgust the 49ers traded him to the Ravens instead. Owens clearly states that Philly was his 1st choice to play for Looks like Philly fans might have something to cheer for after all
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1752847 I don't like it!!!!!!!!!!
Great signing!
the solution to the ranger's ranger's goalie problem is very simple- Calgary. Right now they have 3 great goalies fighting for position between the pipes. They have Roman Turek, Jamie Mclennan and Miikka Kiprusoff.
http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/7142617  Another one of life's overacheivers.
http://www.nfl.com/partners/aol?http://www.nfl.com/ Not that bad of a deal. He is a good young big WR which is what we need, but it I am not so sure about giving a 2nd rounder for him in a draft this deep. Anyways, the Jets needed to do something and this definately helps their offense.
