The Bears have to beat the Lions and the Saints must beat the Rams. Then, of course, my Packers have to beat the Bucs.
Man, talk about parity! The NFL playoffs look wide open. No team appears to be a lock this year.
afc east champs baby!!!!
poor, poor jets... vinny testaverde kinda reminds me of richard todd...
like the saying goes:
same old jets...
GIANTS & PHINS IN TAMPA!!!!
I was there today, and although not shocked by the great play by the Big Blue Defense, I was very happy to see the Giants actually ring up some points like other teams. Collins, Tiki, and Hillard were great.
Shut down the bus and take Stewart out of game all adds up to a great, great win!
A win next week at Dallas and we are division champs.
I'm juiced baby!
Is there anyone here besides me who is brave enough (or stupid enough?) to admit to being a Washington Redskins fan?
After the lost to celtic's we needed this win .
houston's 27 and spree's 20 but the defense must have play great. The Sixers also lose iverson for a month. Ididn't see the game but I'm sure my buddy the knicks west coast stat keeper will fill me in, ain't that right cali
I know it isn't quite over yet - and at least one New York team is in the playoffs ... but - what was that I witnessed in the Meadowlands yesterday afternoon???? Explanations anyone???
I tried watching some football to alleviate the empty aching feeling I get when there's no baseball to watch. The Army-Navy game was pretty exciting, but every other game I've tried has ben really boring...
The one competitive tv how I did see that really got me interested was ... IRON CHEF! The episode with the tie-breaking extra-half hour overtime "scallion battle" was intense!
Anyone else enjoy that show?
p.s. ok, if I sound like a raving lunatic, it's because I'm in...
Any tennis lover out there? :D
These guys are killin me! They can play superbly for a few games in row, then play the dismal Hawks and get blown away! Whats up with that? It seems they have a history of getting too complacent and lackluster against crappy teams but rise to the occasion against good ones. Any comments out there?

Oh how sweet it would be to destroy Dallas on their own field tonight and wrap up the NFC East. Plus, if New Orleans loses, the Giants have a first-round bye. Go Falcons!!
Shooot me!!!! As if Houston (my FAV player) missing the potential game winning 3 pter wasn't bad enough, now this? Sheeeesh!
NEW YORK (AP) -- For the New York Knicks, this one was embarrassing.
The Utah Jazz routed the Knicks 89-58 Friday night, New York's lowest point total since the shot clock was introduced. The Knicks had as many turnovers (25) as they had baskets, and shot just 39 percent.
Anybody know the record for most yards to go?
C'mon boys! Miami choked today against Tampa Bay, a win could put the Jets in position to take the AFC East.
C'mon Allybear, MrJack, Rita, and all the other Jets fans out there, say it with me:
J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS!!
An oldie but goodie:
A young man was very excited because he just won a ticket
to the Super Bowl. His excitement lessened as he realized
his seat was in the back of the stadium. As he searched
the rows ahead of him for a better seat, he found an empty
one right next to the field. He approached the man
sitting next to the empty seat and asked if it was taken.
The man replied, "No." Amazed the young man asked, "How
could someone pass up a seat like this?" The older
They have now lost 9 games in a row.
The question now os not can they make the playoffs, but will they ever win another game?
Im Sooo Very HAAPPY!!!!!
UCLA was suppose to win the crosstown rivalry this weekend!
So I wasnt paying much attention!!!! Till I saw the Score and Highlights this morning!!!!!!
USC has always been my favorite! From the chance of going there, had my life not taken a different direction, to Tommy Trojan on His White Horse in the Rose Parade!!!! Added to that the Memories of the Tusk Recording by Fleetwood Mac with the USC Marching Band!!!!
WAY TO GO USC!!!! Whoohoo!!!!
Added to that...
I was devastated to read this in The Daily Racing Form today. :( I was a fan of Antley's when he rode in New York and New Jersey. When he came back last year and won the Derby and the Preakness aboard Charismatic, I was so happy for him. I'll never forget the Belmont Stakes, when Charismatic broke down in the homestretch and Antley jumped off the horse and held its leg immobile until the ambulance came. That brought tears to my eyes because it illustrated Antley's concern for the animal. ...
The only excerise you get is walking and using your arms. Am I missing something?
I picked up my skis today from Mt. Everest Sports in Westwood NJ. They always do a good job of outfitting my family. I hear there's snow everywhere and that this is the best season opening in a long time. I'd like to get a respectable amount of skiing in this year. Mostly we go to Hunter, and Jiminy Peak. But I used to go a lot to Stowe in Vermont, and Wildcat in New Hampshire. I'm putting my 2 year old on skis this year. I have a special harness where he travels down the hill in front of me...

Watch out folks- cuz the ducks are comming to town! Today, we defeated #8 Washington State in OT by blocking their field goal. The game was shown only on closed circuit tv in the campus area and at McArthur court (the basketball stadium) on big screen Tvs. My dad and his buddies and I went to Mac court and watched with 2 thousand other 'quackers' as Oregon looked like crap for 3 quarters, and we trailed by 1 goddamn poin thru 2 quarters. Finally, we tied it up just so we can go to OT, promptly...
So I get home at 9:00 p.m. last night, looking forward to watching the Rangers game on MSG. I have Comcast Cable so we only get MSG I - we don't get FOX Sports NY or MSG II. I turn on the TV as I crawl into bed and what do I see - the freakin' Chase Championships Preliminary Rounds!!!!!! Do I really care whether Lindsay Davenport beats some schmo from Sweden to make it into the second round? NO - I care about whether the Rangers tack another 2 points on their lead in the Atlantic (while the...
That place is AWESOME! It's much bigger than it looks on tv, which surprised us, because Yankee Stadium looks much bigger on tv than when you're actually there. I love the intro they do before the Rangers take the ice. Simple, but very, very nice. I'm disappointed that the Rangers lost, but we had a really good time anyway. Just being there was fantastic. And let me say, you New York City folks get a really bad rap. We stayed at a hotel in Yonkers, just off the NY State Thruway. ...
In case you haven't found it yet you might want to check out ProSportsPage.com
Nice site - you choose your sport and then pick the team you're interested in and it will show you a page with summaries and links to newpapers across the country that published about that team. Its updated daily. If you're an info/rumor nut like me its fun checking to see if rumors in the NY papers pan out in the papers of the team they write about, or catching an article from a weird paper that you would never...
