As the calendar feature is gone and apparently not coming back, I thought it would be a reasonable idea to ask everyone to post their birthday here. I will try to update them into a readable format as they come in. So... January 1/3 - Coney36 1/6 - bagger015 1/6 - texasyankee 1/13 - CharmedForever61 1/23 - Yankeeschic12324 1/31 - DrNick

I have seen we have various threads about computer help, what to buy? various terms, differences between MAC and PC, I made this thread for anyone that wants some of us with computer experience to answer some of those who need some advice or help trouble shooting.. Jason
There are a bunch of people who frequent this Forum who's first name I know. There are countless others that I have no idea what their first name is. Couple that with the hundreds upon hundreds of new people who have registered that would have no idea who people are... I thought it would be a good idea for a Thread where people (who wish to divulge this information) give their first name. This is not to be a joke Thread, please be serious and only respond if you wish to give your name. ...
This might have concerned me 20 years ago: Spencer Gifts Will No Longer Sell Hookahs Friday June 23, 2006 8:55am</B> FEASTERVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Spencer Gifts is taking hookahs off its shelves. Spencer's has reached an agreement with the Bucks County District Attorney's office to no longer sell the water pipes in its more than 640 stores nationwide. Police say the pipes are drug paraphernalia, even though Spencer Gifts argues that they are legal items labeled "for tobacco use only." A...
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/thousand_dollar_tip Nice story.
I have so much change sitting in Yankees World Series cups, beer steins and the like that I decided as part of New Years straightening up, to get rid of it. Theres a Commerce Bank by my gym so each day this holiday weekend before working out, I dumped a jug or two of change and got $337. I still have several things full of change and rolled up stuff that I'll bring in next week.

No, I'm not looking for a career in the porn industry. I'm planning a trip to NYC and Chicago this June and since I'm 6'5" I checked the possibilities for more leg room in the plane. Costs: About 800 dollar (American ones). It's with United airlines and called Economy PLUS. Does anyone have experience with this program? Is it worth it? Right now I'm thinking it's too much money. For that money you can see 8 broadway shows, or do a couple of chopper flights, or do some serious shopping. ...

Do people still buy CDs? Not counting itunes or "other" downloads, what was the last physical music recording you bought? For me it was the Pearl Jam Live @ the Gorge box set back around Christmas. Before that it was Tool's 10,000 Days in 2006.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0990413/ Baseball movie about a promising young pitcher from DR who gets a spring training invite. I cant wait to see this flick. Im sure some of you would appreciate it as well.
The official launch date is tomorrow on this site http://www.24trailer.com/ , but here's a sneak peak.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvLpSDwKCqQ I'm not too happy about Tony being brought back as a baddie. Though, I could understand why..

Just thought I'd let everyone who likes the show "Alias"... It returns TONIGHT! 8PM on ABC... Yes, it's the final season, but at long last, we'll be able to see how everything comes to a close.... I've been waiting for this for a LONG time now....

If any of you are a student, alumnus, or fan of a BIG EAST school and a serious fantasy baseball manager, you might wanna check out this league I'm looking to start: http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?t=94677 Thanks! -Steve
It starts on the 19th (on HBO) and I'm really excited to see it. I found an extended trailer for it while doing a search on Facebook. It looks really good.

So apparantly a magazine about being a mother is getting alot of flak for having a cover with a baby nursing on it. There's no nipple shown yet the magazine still has gotten over 700 letters about the cover. Can someone explain why this country loses it's collective sh*t over a breast? How many tv shows nightly depict murder and violent crimes - nevermind the news which uses images of devastation to get ratings, yet a simple bosum is cause for national uproar? ...
The amount of intolerance and ignorance in this country never ceases to amaze me. http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2006-03-03/#2
I just saw a preview for this on TV, and holy crap, it looks good! The web site says it's all ready playing in select cities. Has anyone seen it yet? It looks intriguing and powerful. http://www.childrenofmen.net/
I searched this site and didn't find a thread on this incredible film, so I figured I'd start one. The director is Paul Haggis. The film presents racism in a way I've never seen in a movie before. It's so damn well done. Just when you think you "get it", it comes at you from a different angle. I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on it. If you haven't seen it, give it a try. Great ensemble cast including Don Cheadle, Sandra Bullock, Ludacris, Thandie Newton, Brendan Fraser, Matt...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375679/ I did a search and didn't find anything. Who else has seen this movie? I watched it tonight. It was one of the most difficult movies to watch that I can remember. There were times when I almost had to look away. Not because it's scary or gory, but because it's real. I can't really describe it, but those who have seen it probably know what I'm talking about. I hope it wins best picture, but it's not a movie I ever want to see again.

I think this is a really good idea. The most amazing thing to me is that it only cost $9.4 million to build. They put a refrigerated storage facility 400 feet into a mountain. That would probably cost $350 million here in America. Gotta love union work. :2thumbs: http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/02/26/norway.seeds/index.html?iref=mpstoryview#cnnSTCText
So I'm getting married in about 2 weeks, and I still haven't settled on a "Grand Entrance" song for my reception. (The song that accompanies our introduction as "Mr. and Mrs." at the reception.) Looking around the web, the most popular choices are assorted theme songs, like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Chicago Bulls Intro, "Get Ready For This" (NHL stadium music), etc. That's a little over-the-top for me. Other choices are just "rock anthem" type songs, like Livin' on a Prayer, Rock You...
