Has anyone ever run into one of these situations? Luckily I haven't as most of the outdoor parties I go to usually involve byob and/or bring a side dish. As far as the restaurant thing...I would expect to pay my own way.
Just wondering of anyone has tried any of the kind like Crest Whitestrips, etc. and if you got noticeable results. Thinking about it, but don't want to waste my money if it really doesn't work.
So I was having a conversation with my gf about women changing their last name after they get married. We agreed that the hyphenated last name is a cluster f, not sustainable and not an option. I understand not wanting to give up your last name, but I remember being young and thinking it was strange when other kids' parents didn't have the same last name. I'm sure this will be more common place in the future so maybe it will not feel as weird. She asked if I would ever change my name, and I...
anyone else think it looks like she's pulling some device that's making her mechanical legs bend up behind her and over her shoulders?
just a bad picture, imo.
robot-leg-behind-her-back chick just looks too.. severe.
Welcome to another year in which we try to shed the pounds we put on over the past 3 to 6 months. I'll be making 3 initial posts:
This post will contain the weight-loss goals and will be updated weekly through May.
My second post in this thread will talk about those of us who have taken off weight in 2007 and kept at least some of it off.
My third post in this thread will talk about those of us (like me) who gained back everything they lost in 2007. If you are thin-skinned, I...
Has anybody heard this guy? He is SO funny!!! He recently had a performance on Comedy Central. He has a DVD out now, this is the link if you want to watch: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5543657493724545280&q=Brian+Regan
I was literally crying with laughter the first time I saw it.
Hope someone can shed some light on what I may be facing here. I will bring it to Circuit City if I have to (extended warranty) but I'd rather not since I have not had great success with them in the past.
My son was on my HP laptop last night and he hit the power cord with his foot. The box thing that the cord plugs into came unplugged and when he plugged it back in, the screen went to black with the message:
We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start...
the new .mac addresses are .me addresses now, I was trying to figure out some clever ways to use them.. there are alot taken, so I was wondering right now if anyone has any good ideas:

There are a bunch of videos I want to put on my iPod but I don't know how to rip them OR convert them for my iPod.
Some are YouTube and some I think are Adobe Flash Player.
Anyway, do any of you guys know how to do this?

Had some pizza for breakfast. Would you eat it cold or rewarm it in the microwave or oven?
The Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles starts tonight. Survivor and The Amazing Race are later this month...
...what returning series are you most looking forward to seeing...?
I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the History & Memorabilia section but here goes....
I've got a bunch of baseball cards and rather than having them all sit in a box, I was thinking it might be nice to have them framed. Does anybody know whether there are DIY frames? Ideally, I'd like to place the cards myself (and NOT use adhesive) rather than hand them over to a framing shop -- but I'm really open to any and all possibilities.
Also, what's the estimated cost for...
Now under federal control.
I say it is anything that is not a part of New York City or Long Island. My wife says otherwise.
I woke up in the middle of the night to put out the dog and couldn't get back to sleep...turned on the tv and found this...
NY Yankee final season baseball card set... I ordered a set for me.
Thought others might be interested. This is only good for today.
I don't work for QVC, btw!
Jerry Reed ("Snowman" the truckdriver in Smokey and the Bandit) died:
I was just watching Smokey and the Bandit on TV this weekend....

I know there is a thread on the new songs but I had some feelings on the band and this new turn that I wanted to express.
I am torn. Don't get me wrong I am definitely digging the new material I've heard so far and am quite excited to hear the new album. But at the same time I am disappointed.
As we all know Metallica's first 4 albums are epic. They can't be erased, replaced, knocked, or forgotten. They laid the groundwork for just about every metal band to come about afterwards. The...
Yeah, we all watch shows that we would rather not admit to watching just because our women watch them. I can also admit I sort of get into them too. In this thread, is a safe place to discuss those shows.
So men of NYYFans who are you rooting for on Project Runway? And do you think Blair and Chuck Bass are going to get together on Gossip Girl?
Don't be afraid to admit you have strong feelings about these issues.
Happy birthday to our favorite disgusting, baiting Sox troll! :D
Glad you're back! Have a great one! :gulp:
'King of Voiceovers' Don LaFontaine Dies at 68
In order for the discussion of the movie once we see the movie not getting lost in the other movie, I thought it would be a good idea to open a new thread solely for the purpose of discussion of the movie once seen. But while people should realize that this thread will have spoilers, I would suggest using spoiler tags anyway.
