Talk about the craziness of the NCAA basketball championships here!
I'm completely on the Villanova bandwagon. Hopefully the games will be semi-decent as well today.
I know NYYFAN usually does these things, but he hasn't posted in more than a month, so I decided to start a group. If he does come back and hosts his usual thing, I'll gratefully defer to him though. Group name: NYYFans Password: Yankees Please use your username here when signing up. http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/frontpage

Missouri-UConn Villanova-Pitt Those are our games for today. I did have Villanova-Pitt in my bracket w/Pitt winning....but I have a feeling Villanova is gonna win this one. They seem to be clicking on all cylinders as a team since the 2nd half of the American game, while Pitt keeps barely winning their games and just doesnt seem to be playing very well. Missouri and UConn have both been impressive. I picked Memphis out of this region :o ....I guess I'll go with UConn but I wouldnt...
Bring it on!
Saturday: UCLA-Villanova Maryland-Memphis Texas A&M-UCONN LSU-UNC Michigan-Oklahoma Washington-Purdue Western Kentucky-Gonzaga Texas-Duke
Every year, I do very poorly in the pools because I favor my UConn Huskies and the Big East too much. For example, I'll pick UConn for the Final Four when they're probably no better than a Sweet Sixteen team, or I'll pick a #2, #3, #4, or even #5 Big East team to get to the Final Four, just because they're from the Big East. Also, I tend to pick too many upsets in general. I always get burned in those #6 vs. #11 games, because the #11 is usually a bubble team who got hot at the right time,...
Discuss!
Let's go Huskies! :D
10 minutes to go. :D

Read this on several forum posts and one had a link unfortunately I don't have an account with Rivals.com, if any one has any news on this please post..
The game will tip at 9:21 PM Eastern; Go KU!!! :gulp: One thing I have found interesting over the course of this tournament is that everyone has celebrated the high seeds winning, which has led people to believe once we hit the Sweet 16 the games would be great; however this has certainly not been the case. In fact, the underdogs have typically fared better against the 1 seeds than even the 2 or 3 seeds. So in the future, I would say root for the underdog as you never know how it...
Memphis-UCLA looks like a good one, with Memphis up 3 at the half. :gulp: Id have to see that Im rooting for Memphis as well.
Game Times: Texas-Memphis (2:20 PM Eastern) Davidson-Kansas (5:05 PM Eastern) Although I would have to say Kansas is the team I am rooting for to win it all, I might exactly end up rooting for Davidson as I love the underdog aspect. I would really love for Memphis to lose as well.
Here are the two matchups: Xavier-UCLA (6:40 PM Eastern) Louisville-UNC (9:05 PM Eastern)
Well, we had some excitement last night and with the late run by Western Kentucky we all got to root for the underdog for at least a little while. Tonight's the game I've been waiting for all week with the Longhorns facing off against the Cardinal. Gotta say, I'm not sure what to expect as Stanford has played well of late and when you've got a seven footer with talent, you're always a threat. I'm still taking the Horns in this one though, they are playing as well as anyone in the tournament...
The Madness returns with four huge games tonight: 7:10 EST - No. 7 West Virginia at No.3 Xavier I've got Xavier, had em' picked to beat Duke in this game, but the Dookies didn't show. 7:27 EST - No. 4 Washington State at No. 1 North Carolina Carolina in a blowout. 9:40 EST - No. 12 Western Kentucky at No. 1 UCLA

I was sitting here enjoying my #2 Texas A&M now have a 49-16 halftime lead over #15 UTSA but they switched over to the more competitive Georgia Tech/Iowa State game. Now there is a thread to comment about it :) !

I as encouraged to start individual threads for each individual round (so 6 different threads in total), which will keep the clutter to a minimum. The Tournament will start tommorrow with the play-in game between Mt. Saint Mary's and Coppin St at 7:30 PM (Eastern) for the right to play UNC in the first round (it will be aired on ESPN). The 32 first round games will all be aired on CBS and will be played on Thursday and Friday. Here is a bracket and a the first round schedule...
CBS is killing me already. Georgia/Xavier, and MSU/Temple are tight games, and they are force feeding us Kansas.
