Sycamore Style....despite many warnings not to make any waiver claims, has claimed Jason Schmidt and dropped Mike Gonzalez. I have reversed that roster move. As a penalty, Sycamore Style is prohibited from signing Schmidt unless he clears waivers again. Anyone else may make a waiver claim on Schmidt. He is on waivers until Wednesday morning. Remember, you MAY NOT pick up any players until Opening Day, which is tomorrow. Any roster moves made before 12:01 am tonight will be reversed.
Waivers have been turned on, so everyone should clear by Opening Day. REMEMBER -- you may not sign any Free Agents until Opening Day -- "Free for All Day", which is this Sunday, April 1. Any players signed before then will be released.

OK...I went through and manually added everyone to the rosters. I also slotted players so that everyone has a legal roster. Since there is no bench in this league, it really doesn't matter if I put, for example, Jose Reyes at SS, MI, or DH. I just wanted to get rid of all the illegal roster notices so I could make sure I didn't mess up the lineups. You should be able to make changes to your rosters now, at least moving players around from CI to MI to DH. While rosters are correct (I...
It looks like we will have the auction on the 20th or 22nd. I'd like to have Keepers declared by the 14th. Keeper rules: You must keep 7-12 players. Minor leaguers do not count towards the 7-12. To keep someone in the minors, they must not have 50 IP or 130 AB for their career. Players with an asterisk next to their contract, such as 1 year*, can not be kept in 2007. Players with a multi-year deal MUST be kept, or you lose $1 in auction value for each year left. Renewing a...
PLEASE CHECK IN WITH FANTASY AUCTIONEER! I want to load your keepers before the auction. Everyone else is set. PLEASE! DO NOT WAIT! IF YOU DIDN'T GET THE E-MAIL INVITATION LET ME KNOW NOW!
PLEASE check in ASAP using the e-mail invitation I sent out. If you did not get an e-mail invitation, let me know ASAP. I can only load keepers once people reply to the invitation and check in. Thanks!
Looking at possible dates, now that the other league is locked in for March 23. Dates that come to mind (that means, good for me :)) March 16th (close, and we need to declare keepers by next Monday then) March 20th March 22nd March 27th March 28th March 29th
Entry Fee: $25 Keeper League: Yes Player dispersal: Auction Roster size: 23 active players, no bench. 4 minor league players. Format: Rotesserie.
It's never to early to start talking draft; especially since I'm going to be a pain in the rear this year as my weekend nights are shot through June. I can start in the morning but it would have to be early as I need to leave for work preferably by 3p. Pretty6 much any weekday night I am comfortable with and hopefully to help out our west coaster we could start around 9 again ending around 1a. Also when do keepers need to be announced mister commish?
Football is over if you live in NY, and Spring Training is right around the corner....so let's get busy and see who is coming back for 2007. As last year, payments can be made to my Pay Pal account, and the league fee is still a cheap $25. When you officially reply as returning, I will send you an invoice for the fee. Anyone interested in an expansion team can make that known here, too. 2007 League Teams (in order of finish): 1) Bitches Brew FEES PAID 2) New York Knights FEES PAID...
With the salary adjustments taking place this year, 2007 might be a very interesting auction. There are few true bargains out there as keepers: Bitches Brew: 7 players less than $10. Evil Empire: 2 players Giambianblast: 7 players HHH: 7 players Kings of Arbitration: 4 players Mets Magic: 5 players New York Knights: 5 players Raging Bulls: 4 players
Already thinking about keepers and values for players next year, I can't wait.
This is what the trophy looks like:
The Empire has somehow gained 4 pts and shot right up for a a 1st place tie. Looks like we got ourselves a race guys. 3 teams neck and neck and 3 others within reach.
Bitches Brew: Russel Martin, C, LAD. Was an injury call-up when Dioner Navarro was hurt. Navarro has since been (1) Activated off the DL and (2) Traded away. Since he's no longer considered an injury promotion, he needs to be activated. Craig Hansen, P, BOS. Is not replacing an injured player as far as I can tell. Has been in the majors since June 20, and needs to be activated. Kings of Arbitration: Cliff Floyd, OF, NYM. Was activated off the DL nine days ago. Needs to be activated...
Empire gets: Adam LaRoche John Smoltz A-Team gets Josh Barfield Ryan Shealy Obviously a keeper for star trade. Works well for both teams.
Is in danger of being dropped from my team. Once he's a FA he'll be a nice pickup, but if someone is interested in him at $5 instead of $10, send me an offer today. I'm looking for a 2 for 1 to free up room on my roster if I do trade. Josh Barfield is a nice keeper as well. Take a look, there's not much time so you may be able to get a reaction trade without much though if I get someone who produces in return.
Yo commish - can you move Fatolo Colon to the DL for me? I've picked up Odalis Perez as a replacement.... Bartolo Colon, SP ANA News: The Los Angeles Angels placed right-hander Bartolo Colon, the AL's reigning Cy Young Award winner, on the disabled list Wednesday with inflammation in his throwing shoulder.
In yet another blockbuster trade, the Brew have called on the A-Team to help bail them out of their upcoming roster issues. The Brew send keepers C Jorge Posada, P Craig Hansen and future star OF Jeremy Hermida to the A-Team. In return, the Brew receive OF Andruw Jones. The Brew will be calling up the hot hitting farm hand Russell Martin to take Posada's place. Taking a line from Hannibal of the A-Team, "I love it when a plan comes together" Reportedly, the Brew's next move is to...
In your classic mid-season rental trade, the RBI & HR starved Bitches Brew are sending young stud starting pitcher Ervin Santana to Giambianblast for switch-hitting slugger, Mark Teixeira. The Brew are hoping Mark can put his 1st half power outage behind him, and provide the Brew with the HR & RBI needed to catch Sycamore Style.
$1 Quality keeper. His numbers on the season are not huge but he did have an outstanding month of June. Any team interested in trading for keepers please let me know. Looking for a bat.
Crap, I meant to drop Valverde instead of Zumaya. Can somebody add him back on for me?
THIS IS A 48-HOUR WARNING. IF THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS ARE NOT ACTIVATED BY 9:30PM FRIDAY THEY WILL BE RELEASED: Bartolo Colon, Bitches Brew (Off DL since 6/18) Julio Lugo, Kings of Arbitration (Off DL since 5/5) !! Josh Barfield, Kings of Arbitration (In majors all season) !! If there are any other problems let me know and I will add to the list.
How is he able to keep minor league status??? (Kings of Arbitration) He started the season in the Majors - he needs to be activated or released as far as I can tell, right?
